  5. Ballpark Transformed With 11 Digital Signage Displays Including Main Videoboard and Ribbon Boards Spanning 842 Square Meters SEOUL, April 8, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is strengthening its leadership in the global commercial display market by providing state-of-the-art display solutions to Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox and the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball (MLB). In late March, LG installed a massive main LED videoboard in centerfield at Fenway Park, measuring 30.5 meters wide by 11.5 meters high and covering an area of 350.75 square meters. Additionally, LG delivered a comprehensive display solution comprising 11 digital signage installations. These screens span a combined area of approximately 842 square meters, including a notable 171 square-meter ribbon board display measuring 21.6 meters wide by 7.9 meters high. Featuring sophisticated High Dynamic Range technology, LG’s commercial displays strike a meticulous balance between dark and bright elements to deliver exceptionally clear and lifelike imagery. They offer high luminance exceeding 7,000 nits, IP65-rated water and dust resistance, as well as flexible configurations – all tailored to the outdoor conditions of stadium environments. Starting April 4 (local time), fans had the opportunity to experience the action of the game in vivid detail, delivered by LG’s LED signage displays during the home opener – the first Fenway Park matchup of the 2025 MLB season between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals. LG’s innovative display solutions are set to lead the transformation of the beloved Massachusetts ballpark, the iconic stadium that has shared in the joys and sorrows of American baseball fans for more than a century since its opening in 1912. With a focus on redefining the fan experience, LG has established a strategic partnership with ANC, the agency managing stadium operations and advertising on behalf of Fenway Sports Group, the owner of the Boston Red Sox. Together, they aim to deliver immersive entertainment to sports fans across various regions in the United States, including Boston. “This collaboration will elevate the in-venue experience for our fans with cutting-edge technology while also expanding LG’s presence through dynamic activations that will engage Red Sox Nation all season long,” said Troup Parkinson, Chief Marketing & Partnerships Officer for the Boston Red Sox. 6. The Company Achieves Record-High First-Quarter Revenue Surpassing KRW 22 Trillion SEOUL, Apr. 7, 2025 — LG Electronics Inc. (LG) today announced its preliminary earnings results for the first-quarter of 2025, reporting a consolidated revenue of KRW 22.7 trillion and operating profit of KRW 1.3 trillion. This marks the first time LG’s first-quarter revenue has exceeded KRW 22 trillion. Despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges, including a global economic slowdown, the company’s focus on “qualitative growth” businesses played a key role. Especially in B2B sectors, the Eco Solution (ES) business has been the primary driver of growth in both revenue and profitability. Other areas—such as subscription services, webOS-based advertising and content, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales—also contributed to the company’s record-breaking results. Operating profit exceeded KRW 1 trillion for the sixth consecutive year, continuing to reflect a stable profit structure. Increased revenue from high-margin areas created a strong operating leverage effect, helping to sustain a stable profit structure. Additional drivers of profitability included efficient resource allocation, normalization of raw material and logistics costs, and enhanced agility in global production operations. In the home appliance solution business, LG’s premium products maintained strong leadership in the global market. The built-in appliance business – a B2B segment – alongside key component sales such as motors and compressors, also contributed meaningfully to the performance. The company’s subscription business, which combines hardware and services, is rapidly expanding. In 2025, LG plans to further strengthen its subscription-ready product lineup and customer care services, while also accelerating the global rollout of its subscription model. In the media and entertainment solution business, from this year, LG is integrating its display-based businesses – including TVs, IT (laptops, monitors) and ID (commercial displays) – to generate synergy in its webOS-based advertising and content platform, traditionally centered around smart TVs. LG’s 2025 TV lineup introduced enhanced AI features such as personalized content recommendations, superior picture quality and immersive sound. New products like the ultra-light LG gram Pro AI laptop and the portable LG StanbyME 2 lifestyle screen received positive responses from global markets. The commercial display segment also secured several large-scale international contracts. The vehicle solution business, continues to expand sales of high value-added products, especially in in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, while diversifying into automotive content platforms. LG Magna e-Powertrain is strengthening its competitiveness through advanced motor and inverter technologies and is enhancing operational capabilities at global production sites to support long-term growth. Meanwhile, the automotive lighting business is accelerating development of next-generation technologies, such as high-resolution and intelligent lighting systems, while improving overall efficiency. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) business began operating as an independent Company in the first quarter. By focusing business capabilities on the essence of the order-based HVAC business and the characteristics of customers, the company is increasing its contribution to profitability. In the commercial HVAC space, LG secured major overseas contracts in markets such as Singapore, thanks to its ability to provide localized, tailored solutions. Going forward, LG aims to make HVAC a core pillar of its B2B portfolio by leveraging its proprietary technologies in compressors, fans, heat exchangers and AI engines. In the residential market, LG plans to maintain its leadership with AI-powered innovations. Additionally, in industrial and power-generation sectors, the company is actively pursuing new opportunities with large-scale chiller systems. These figures are tentative consolidated earnings based on K-IFRS provided as a service to investors prior to LG Electronics’ final earnings results, including net profit. Details regarding each division will be announced officially later this month. # # # View the full article

  10. Company Supplies State-of-the-art Multi VTM i System to Landmark Commercial Project, Strengthening HVAC Leadership in Southeast Asia SEOUL, Apr. 3, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) has supplied its state-of-the-art Multi VTM i, a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) solution featuring an advanced AI engine, to a newly constructed 59,800-square-meters logistics center in the Singapore’s Tuas area. This milestone project underscores LG’s commitment to expanding its heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) business in Southeast Asia. To achieve the highest level of the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark certification program – specifically the Green Mark Platinum (Super Low Energy) rating – the logistic center required an exceptionally efficient and comprehensive HVAC solution. LG distinguished itself by presenting a tailored package that optimally meets the client’s specific needs. To further enhance the already outstanding performance and energy efficiency of the Multi V i, LG integrated its proprietary inverter compressor and a larger heat exchanger. LG Multi V i intelligently adapts to environmental conditions, optimizing operation while minimizing unnecessary energy consumption. 18. I hope I don't jinx myself by sharing this, but my goal is to help others facing similar issues, saving them the frustration I've experienced — especially considering how much we invest in these devices. After deciding to purchase another HDMI cable to test if a different brand could resolve the issue, I performed another power cycle test, this time slightly differently from before: Turned off the TV, receiver, and subwoofer (though turning off the last one might seem unnecessary, I'll explain why shortly). Unplugged all three from their power outlets. Removed ALL HDMI cables from the TV — no exceptions. Removed ALL HDMI cables from the receiver — again, no exceptions. Waited 30 minutes (although it was closer to 40-45 minutes, as I took some extra time before actually start to count time). Plugged the TV, receiver, and subwoofer back into their power outlets. BEFORE turning anything back on, reconnected all HDMI cables to the TV first, and then the receiver. Turned on the TV. Turned on the subwoofer. Turned on the receiver. Went to the TV settings and switched audio output to HDMI. Now, regarding the subwoofer: since the goal of the power cycle is (as I understand it) to completely clear any residual electricity from the devices, I concluded that the subwoofer might also have an influence. The subwoofer in my setup is active, meaning it requires its own power source. Additionally, the connection between the subwoofer and the receiver involves electrical signals, as with any speaker. Testing it this way made sense to me. After all this effort, surprise, surprise... The problem persisted — and initially seemed worse, with the connection between the TV and receiver repeatedly dropping, causing rapid flickering between the "No Signal" message and the TV's volume meter popping up constantly. At that point, I was ready to give up (again). Out of frustration, I stood there watching the screen furiously flicker. Then, after a few intense seconds, the flickering suddenly stopped. The TV started displaying images correctly, and the receiver's front panel showed "DSUR", confirming that the handshake went well. This occurred two days ago. Since then, I've experienced no more flickering, no random "No Signal" messages, and no frustrating audio dropouts. My previous frustration (extreme annoyance actually) and hopelessness regarding LG's willingness to investigate the issue have finally eased. I genuinely hope this helps anyone else experiencing similar issues. And if someone from LG is reading this, please consider such concerns seriously — even if issues appear extremely isolated. Thanks for your time. Take care, stay safe, drink water, and hug someone next to you. See ya!
