Indeed. I am also using Comcast. And the problem disappeared this morning.
So, it could be something related to Comcast... May be they have some kind of DNS caching which used stale IP addresses of LG servers?
When you are scrolling the applications (ie after you click the "My Apps" button) click on the UP ARROW over the selected application and it will show you an X, then you are asked if you'd like to delete the application.
