  1. I recently updated the firmware on my LG43UH610V. Now I constantly get "Wired Lan cable disconnected" / "Wired network is connected" messages even while watching a video file from my NAS. The TV is connected and using the network while getting these messages. It has always been on a fixed IP address on the LAN.

  2. I think it's definitely a huge hiccup on Lgs behalf. Have you called customer services for an explanation at all? The more people that call in the better...they told me they wouldn't do an update unless they get more complaints! What a shame you cannot turn off the screensaver. What happens if you shake the magic remote...surely that should activate and the screen saver would disappear...not that that is acceptable but it might be a quick fix? We recieve the signal from freeview and need the internet for the IPTV interactive side of these channels. Obviously something is awry if our models are not even recognising the on demand side despite getting signal and yours recieved the on demand yet blocks it somehow and imposes the screen saver.

  3. Hi Tinks Thanks again for your thoughts regarding my LG issue. I've become so confused and disillusioned with the whole situation that I have decided to sell the wretched tv. Thank you so much for help over this matter but as I say I've just had enough of it now and am going to invest another TV. Regards Graham

I have an issue with my otherwise great oled. if i watch certain freeview channels - such as now 90s, essentially any of the freeview channels which are delivered as streaming rather than over the air, the screensaver activates after a few minutes even though i am seeing a moving image and hearing sound. seems the tv thinks it's showing a static image rather than an internet delivered tv channel. does this happen with all lg oled televisions? - anyone care to turn on a channel such as now 90s to confirm:? - during the portion of the day when the channel is broadcasting over the air all is fine. thanks in advance.

  6. Hi guys, I just found this thread whilst investigating another issue with IPTV over Freeview (the hybrid channels). Please would someone confirm whether or not the screen saver fireworks kick in after a few minutes when watching these channels? A number of people with LG OLED TVs including me (E8) have this issue and there's no way to override it. Very annoying. For some reason the TV thinks that the video stream is a static image. I'm happy to check whether I can receive streams on UHF channel 25 if they could be listed here, and I'll confirm my signal strength. Edit: the IPTV streams are on UHF channel 29 in my area - signal strength 94%, quality 100%. I confirm I can receive Planet Knowledge and all the others, therefore I think the theory about high signal strength being the issue is incorrect.

  7. Hi guys, I have received my LG TV with webOS 3.0 today. I am looking to install a few Apps available on Google Play, however, it seems Google Play is not installed on the webOS software pre-installed. I can only find Google Play Movies and TV, which does not allow me to install 3rd party Apps. Is there a way to install Google Play app and 3rd party apps ? Many thanks

  9. Are the tv/google home on phone, both on the same Wi-Fi channel? I found, with the Google assistant, any previous entries in your calendar will not be recognised. I had to re input diary dates verbally to Google for new diary entries, it then recognised them and worked ok.

  10. Is anyone else having issues with their VUDU app holding it's connection during movie playback? My app regularly has to rebuffer or it asks me to switch to SD. This only happens with VUDU. Netflix, Amazon, HULU or any other movie app all play fine with no issues whatsoever. I've tried to uninstall the app and download it again but still the issue persists. Any ideas?

  13. Hi, I have an LG 42LB731V , I know it’s discounted..I bought it on EBay and I love it. However, the Amazon app stopped working it will play trailers. It none of the films will play. Amazon never bothered to contact me back, LG told me to reset my tv using restore initial settings but I can’t it's greyed out can anybody help. Thanks LB

  14. @Chaoskcw - thank you so much for your "helpful" reply. The original post does not say whether he is watching live TV, streaming, or what. If you pause the screen, the screen saver is designed to come on. If it's coming on during a show that hasn't been paused, it's a problem with the TV and he needs to call LG for help. People do much more with their Smart TVs than just "watch TV". If you think my post was "of no use and very naive", all your post was designed to do was give me a hard time. Mine was to try to help the person with the problem, even if it didn't turn out to be the correct solution. So you tell me, which post was of more value on this forum? If you want to troll people on-line and make yourself feel better, you should try another forum.
