After blocking youtube in Russia I connect ipv6 protocol, but youtube app not work, only work in browser. Does it work with ipv6 or not? How to up the priority for use ipv6 over ipv4. How to disable ipv4 on TV, I can only disable ipv6.

Just an update after contact with LG customer support. The trick seems to be to switch off the 'programme list update' in the satellite settings and this then re-activates the 'add satellite' option. Further, the nearest satellite was then also selected as was the case before the recent webOS update.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though. I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains. Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

I have an LG OLED TV 2024, and the remote does not have a FAV button. I have saved some favorite OTA channels through the Channel Manager, but I don't know how to access them without a FAV button. Can someone help me with this?

Hi all, last week I got my new LG 65" C4 Oled delivered. I investigated using first a 32Gb memory stick for recording live programmes and pause live TV facility. I was able to record programmes but the Live TV would not work 🥲 The LG usb is the slower 2.0 spec but I read that most low current SSD drives should still work fine with 2.0 Today I received a 240Gb drive with Sata to usb 3.0 cable (3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0). I can confirm that everyting works fine and for just £17.40 I now have pause live TV and loads of space for recording programmes. As promised: After uninstalling LG SmartShare and installing Serviio (free version), and running it for 5+ days now - no problems. Looks like I found my new Windows / LG MediaServer. And the fact that it runs as a service automatically, actually makes it easier.

I contacted the local LG service center and they changed the motherboard for the TV (under warranty), hopefully the new one will work fine.

I'll probably return my TV because it's a tragedy, what are they doing, when you turn off the ads, the screensaver doesn't turn on after 2 minutes in the main menu, and in other applications it doesn't turn on at all...

You have a new 2024 model, a c4. even if you open the service menu, you cannot edit the value. You can unlock that with jailbreak, but till today there is no publick jailbreak avaiable for you tv

Information about the reasons for turning off the TV (due to problems with the equipment or a normal shutdown with the remote control) is stored in the logs of the TV service menu. Hello pingber, I am a LG user like you. You have a C1 and I have a C3. Netherless, the home screen should look like the attached picture of my home screen (sorry it is in french). The last row contains input and some documentations in my case. If this is also your case, then for this last (bottom) row you cannot change it. Witht the lastest WebOS version, you cannot remove the different rows. Unfortunately, WebOS is quite rigide : and you cannot really customize and simplify the home screen. Phil. IMG_4066.HEIC

The issue goes unsolved for almost two years now. LG is just happy with taking our money away - they either have a secret plan to educate us into using the remonte, or they don't know how to do it. Why would they allow for (multiple, I might say) Favs lists to be created, but make it harder to access them.. it makes no sense!

Hey, for some reason I haven't experienced the issue very much after posting it. If it does happen the only solution that seems to work for me is to hard power off the devices (i.e. turn them off at the wall) and then turn them on again. I am not sure if they ALL need to be powered off, you can start with just doing the TV but mine are all on 1 plug so they all go off an on when I cycle the power.

You english is perfectly correct. I am French and member of this community group (not a LG employee). I also bougth the C3 TV recently and I also have this logo that takes 2 seconds or so. But I choose to go directly to the "recent input" (your Entrada Reciente) so I bypass the LG menu (there is a paramter for this). However, I think your question is about how to bypass the logo, isn't it ? I don't have the answer for that. I think the logo is "mandatory". Phil.

I found a way to boost my download speed! I went into the connection settings on my TV and switched the IP address to manual. Then, I entered a custom IP address that works on my network instead of using the automatic setting. This bumped up my download speed from 7 MB to 22 MB! Just make sure the IP address you choose isn't already in use on your network.

I did find a solution but you must be comfortable with rooting your tv. I had to root and add a startup script that would disable the internal screensaver when your app is running. https://discord.gg/TD4UhC6a the above link shows how to root your tv.

Hey I have an OLED C3 evo A Pioneer amplifier is connected to the optical output. I want to connect Bluetooth headphones and use them at the same time as the amplifier. The thing is, I haven't seen such an option on TV. It is possible to play simultaneously with the Bluetooth headphones and the internal speakers on the TV. There is no option for Bluetooth and the optical port at the same time. Am I missing something here? Thanks Dani

Hi everyone, I wish LG would consider updating their Codecs list or at least give us a way of installing this codecs in our TV manually. i know my TV is capable of playing a lot of stuff but i'm always stuck with "not supported" for most of the media i have. One of the most wished stuff i'd love to see is Added support for H.264 10bit (still very popular and used a lot) as well as Opus codecs (its a Free codec and its getting a lot use recently especially with H.265 MKV videos) Like i said, please add this codecs and more or at least give us a way of doing it ourselves. i know there might be legal issues and some codecs are payed, so just let us install it ourselves instead. I use an IPTV app to watch TV and would like it to start automatically when the TV is switched on. The TV insists switching on with the not working cable TV tuner. This is WebOS 5.5

I see that if you just turn on the tv, your last-watched input will conveniently come on 120 seconds later. Really, this is a ridiculous amount of time, especially since you can scan what is on the screen visually in 5 seconds and decide if you want any of the selections. I reset my tv to factory to clear out all of the software updates. Worked perfectly the first time...screen came up exactly like I wanted. Then a message popped up that my 'Home Screen' was updated for my viewing pleasure or some stupid message like that. I went through the menus and don't see any way to simply turn off this updated 'Home Screen' setting. Really annoying. It is the same Home Screen display that I was getting when I had the latest software installed...so maybe Home Screen is controlled separate from the installed user software. Regardless, it is really a stupid Home Screen, and the end user should be given a chance to turn it off. I have 2 older LG TVs that I really, really like. That was the reason that I bought this one...not knowing the WEBOS rabbit hole I was getting into. Won't be going the LG route with our next tv unless LG gives the end user an option to turn off 'their' home screen and give me an option to set it as I wish...which is like their television pre-WEBOS. Edit: To be clear, my WebOS tv is a 32LM570BPUA now running 4.10.0-12 The 'Home Setting' doesn't allow changing any of the settings that really would de-clutter the screen. Perhaps the software in some of the newer models allow this, but not in this tv that I can find. Edit: Well....'something' I turned off has caused the home screen to turn off for me. I don't know what I did, but I'm not going to fiddle with it any more. This is how I've always wanted it. For those with this software version on their tv, I was in the: all settings> general > additional settings menu and then turned off everything but the screen saver. I'm thinking turning off 'QuickStart+' is what did it for me.

Hi. What can I do to get my TV to use the full broadband speed that I've got available. My tv is a 55EC930V and is using a wired connection to my router. My broadband is currently running at 125Mbps. When I use any other devices such as a laptop, mobile phone, etc the speed using fast.com returns anything between 120 to 130 MBps. But, when I use the web browser on the TV, it always maxes out at 33Mbps. This value is reported by fast.com. If I use the speed test in the Netflix app, this returns approx 29Mbps. I never get anything higher, so what's limiting it? The same problem occurs for YouTube and that's the only other App that I've got installed. If the network board in the TV is supposed to be 10-100Mbps, why don't I get 100 Mbps? I know I won't get 125Mbps because LG never puts 1Gbps in any of it's TVs.

Well… it worked. I was skeptical as I had tried all these things but it appears that order matters. THANK YOU for posting this solution. My system had been working fine for years and just stopped a couple days ago. It had done this once in the past but a power reset (unplug from wall) solved the problem that time. Again, thank you for posting the solution - would really like to understand why this procedure works - what is set that gets reset and makes it work again.

Please add the ability to have eye comfort mode turn off / on at set times. (Similar to night shift on iPhone) Or at least move the setting to an easier location to avoid digging through settings menus. I turn it on every evening to stop the light effecting my circadian rhythm, then off when watching TV during the day and this would be very convenient.

I can’t believe how unpopular this request is, and that they haven’t implemented it when it’s such an easy thing to implement. Every TV should have this feature by now, knowing all we know about how it impacts sleep.

I agree. Not only is this a popular item to advertise these days by LG, it's also a safety issue. This shouldn't be difficult to add a timer for on/off of eye comfort mode. Ideally WebOS gets this setting plus an additional Picture Mode setting for something like "bedtime" that turns on eye comfort mode and also further reduces the max brightness setting. That way when my wife is watching tv and I'm trying to go to sleep, it's not so annoying.

Come on LG, it's a no brainer to be able to time this either custom, or with sunrise/sunset. Nightshift/Eye Comfort mode is a great and necessary feature. Put some icing on this cake and make it easy to access, please. :)

I have same firmware, but if you read the faq in the web page, they say will only play on certain browsers, firefox, internet explorer etc. or could be in flash player format which webos wont play.

Agreed, i alredy posted my disapoitment, I was fulled by the tv presentation about LGwebOS, it is actualy worse than any OS i have ever seen on TV as far the performance - the idea it selff is OK. switching chanels takes 3-5 sec opening seings somtimes takes up to 10 sec. you can only chose external or tv speakers not simuntaniasly and many more other things. I would gladly install google TV if there will be posibility or - even previuse LG smart tv OS
