  1. That is because LG is webOS not Android.
  2. Going by the following forum posts KODI is unlikely going to be available on any Smart TV platform apart from Android: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=224594 & https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=340213 As for a Raspberry Pi being too techy, check out Diet Pi https://www.dietpi.com which provides a nice and easy way to get a Plex server up and running. If you do not think the RPi would have enough processing power Diet Pi also has version for many more Single Board Computers.
  3. Hi, I have a LG webOS UH650V (2016) running 05.50.55 firmware, yesterday I attached a 4TB Western Digital Elements drive with a single NTFS partition and it is seen and works.
  4. Hi Divyu, Thanks for creating the video on the premium content issue. I would send the link to Hotstar's support desk as everyone here is just an end user and it would be unlikely that we could solve the issue as it is probably an issue with the service provider not the TV.
  5. It is possible that the UNITEL website has not be optimised to work with the webOS browser. The only thing you could do is as UNITEL to investigate.
  6. Hotstar have written their app to only run on TVs running webOS 3.5 and above, sadly your set appears to have version 2.
  7. There is not just one version of webOS for all the different televisions, so there is not one source to download.
  8. I am afraid there is, to the best of my knowledge, a way to upgrade from the NetCast platform to webOS.
  9. I am afraid there is, to the best of my knowledge, a way to upgrade from the NetCast platform to webOS.
  10. Generally speaking LG do not write apps for the webOS platform, it is down to content creators to make them.
  11. To have any chance of having your question answered please let the forum know the model of your 43in set and what firmware it is running please.
  12. That is a question you would have to ask Hotstar directly.
  13. Hi Hariharaprasad, Sorry but you are stuck with webOS.
  14. This section of the forum is really aimed at those who develop apps for the platform, not those developers of the OS at LG.
  15. Hi Anishka, Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, LG has no official presence here although it is entirely possible someone from the company may view it there are no guarantees. The best thing I can suggest is you raise the issue via the official LG page found here: https://www.cvent.com/surveys/Welcome.aspx On another note, web etiquette is that posting the same issue in multiple places on a forum is frown upon.
  16. Hi David, As I said I believed it to be the case that Samsung had the rights in the US to HBO, but maybe this has now changed. If this is the case it will be down to HBO to authorize LG to release the app to the appropriate market.
  17. Unless LG has provided an upgrade path for your model of TV then this is, to the best of my knowledge, no way to upgrade to a new version of webOS.
  18. I believe that someone elsewhere on the forum stated that Samsung have secured the rights to have HBO NOW on their platform, so LG and others are not able to release it in your region.
  19. Amazon have still not produced an app for that, please feel free to nag them as I have.

  21. Yes, too many IT companies and not enough sleep. But you get the idea.
  22. I fixed it. I opened the comp file and saved it by changing to unicode (via Google Translate)
  23. Maybe you should ask LG or Google they may know.
