  1. Sorry to hear the app is not living up to expectations, the best thing to do would be to use Hotstar's contact page to let them know of the deficiencies and ask them when they are planning on pushing out an updated version.

  3. Try this on for size: https://www.lg.com/us/support/works-with-google-alexa-voice-assistant
  4. Hi maninblack2000, If you could point other users to the correct producer that would be great, they may want to contact them especially if unlike yourself they do not have an alternative device to use.
  5. Hi, Well I tried signing up to the site to see if I could replicate the issue you are having, but the sign up page just 404s after pressing the sign up button.
  6. Hi, Hutchy - try contacting the people behind the app https://www.whmcssmarters.com as if it is not working on wegOS then they need to know so that they can fix the problem. maninblack2000 - the app may well work on Android but as it is a different OS platform it is not a straight comparison, again if it is not working on webOS then contact https://www.whmcssmarters.com
  7. Hi, Have a look at this post on the AVForums website: https://www.avforums.com/threads/lg49uh650v.2079251/
  8. As the producers of the app Hotstar have made the decision at the time of writing not to support webOS 3.0, any complaints need to be made to them directly through their website.
  9. Older TVs may not be physically capable of running the latest version of webOS and all of its feature and improvements, it would akin to expecting a PC that was originally designed to run MS-DOS being expected to run Windows 10. Hotstar took the decision to only produced the app for particular iterations of the webOS platform/hardware, this is not the fault of LG, this is entirely down to Hotstar. If the appt is not available for your device then you need to complain to Hotstar. According to other users it is possible to view Hotstar through the webOS browser, something that was not possible up until recently, not because LG altered the browser, but because Hotstar updated their website.
  10. LG did not produce the app, it is the work purely of Hotstar themselves.
  11. Some users have gotten around the issue by hotspotting with their mobile phones.
  12. If you have access to board level soldering equipment, then probably yes, but if you are hoping to upgrade it like a PC then you are out of luck.
  13. Unless you it has actually been suggested the official LG contact form then it is likely that nothing will ever happen: https://www.cvent.com/surveys/Welcome.aspx This is purely a user-to-user forum, and yes while you can make feature requests it still requires that you also make that same suggestion direct to LG. The main reason for posting a suggestion here is so that other users can say to themselves that your idea is a good one and also use the LG contact form to show their support.
  14. Sadly I do not have a clue, but I have emailed the details via the LG help page and they will hopefully come back with an answer.

  17. There is an HBO GO app but its availability will depend on your model of TV and, more importantly, your geographical location. According to one forum member in another thread Samsung has the US rights to stream HBO so no app for LG in the States. No app in the UK as Sky hold the rights to broadcast HBO.

  19. Because Adobe dropped support for Smart TV years ago, plus it is being put out to pasture next year. So if you want to view a website that runs Flash you are out of luck I am afraid.
  20. Guessing that you would need a 3D source, i.e. a Bluray player with 3D, and the appropriate glasses and away you go.
  21. As you have read the threads you will have seen many reasons you may not be able to get HBO, and some ways of getting HBO. Which of the reasons that you cannot get HBO apply to you, without knowing that I cannot give you a brief answer.
  22. If you could look at some of the many other threads on the subject you may find an answer to your enquiry. https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=hbo

  24. They should be fine, in theory get them in pairing mode and follow the on-screen instructions.
