  1. Hi Mihai B. Sadly I cannot answer your question, but I have one of my own. Is there any benefit to using XPLAY over the official PLEX app?
  2. So some questions that must be asked: 1. WiFi or network cable? 2. Is the TV built for your region or is it an import? 3. Are you behind any weird firewalls or do you have your DNS set to something other than the regional norm.
  3. Hotstar are currently working on an app for the LG webOS platform, a little searching around the web with throw up some info. Apparently it was meant to be release earlier in the year but Hotstar ran in to technical difficulties. Whether Zee5 are working on an app is something I cannot comment on, it would be best to approach their support team and ask them directly.
  4. Sadly in tech there is not really anything that is future proof, things change too quickly. I am not expecting my 2016 49UH650V to get upgraded to webOS 4.0, it would be nice but realistically the hardware probably will not support it. With any Smart TV there will come a point when you have to decide that if you want the latest smart features the only way you are going to get them is to buy something like a ROKU to get them.
  5. It may simply be that there is no newer update for your 65EF9500, which I believe is running webOS 2.0 while the UJ7700 runs webOS 3.5.
  6. This is a situation others have commented on, but unfortunately there is no way to turn off the screen saver. This is basically to protect LG from people who would do so and end up with screen burn.
  7. Why it happens I could not say, but many people have similar DNS issues with licence agreements.
  8. Hi Folks, Please have a look at these other threads of the forum to see if they are of any help to you: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=popping
  9. Is this from new out of the box, after installing an app or after a firmware upgrade?
  10. I did contact Amazon asking them if they were planning on a dedicated app but the answer was negative, which is disappointing as they have managed to create one for Video. More nagging needed.
  11. I imagine that it is a licensing cost that LG do not want to add on to the cost of their sets, as well as having to re-write the code to work with webOS. Currently it appears that those manufacturers that do offer Chromecast capability are those that either do not have their own smart platform, or are licensing Android TV: https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/tv/
  12. A much covered subject on this forum: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=user agreements
  13. To the best of my knowledge it is only possible to record from a TV source.
  14. Hi, Take a look at this thread on the forum, it may help: https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/2189-screen-share-with-windows-10/
  15. Hi Kamil, As you are referring to Astra then surely it is Freesat not Freeview you are having issues with. Freesat is not something I have had dealings with but this Wikipedia page my throw some light on which satellites and their channels that are available to you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astra_(satellite)
  16. Hi Trezor, I am going to assume that you are trying to retune Freeview channels. Freeview are constantly moving their channels around to accommodate the sale of particular broadcasting frequencies by the UK government. This leads to a whole bunch of issues which are annoying but unfortunately as an individual there is not a lot you can do about it. What you can do is check that your aerial is both an up-to-date model and is correctly orientated, as well as this you might consider purchasing a 4G filter which helps with some interference problems.
  17. Please see the many other threads on the forum for the solution. https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=user agreements
  18. Hope this answers your questions more fully.
  19. No, you will just have to live with what you have and plug in your chosen device of choice in to it.
  20. The update for my TV took many, many, many months to upgrade OTA, what the criteria for it happening is beyond my range of knowledge. If you really want the upgrade all I can suggest that is do download it and install it yourself.
  21. Where did you read this? I would imagine that if it happens then only the newest 2018 models would be up to the job.
  22. Hi, Common issue, please see the other threads on the matter: https://www.lgwebos.com/search/?q=user agreement
