  1. The model of your TV, firmware and software versions and the software version of the Amazon app please.
  2. Microsoft (not LG) dropped Skype support for multiple platforms (not just LG) some time ago: https://www.theverge.com/2016/3/8/11178976/microsoft-skype-for-tv-support
  3. I was not aware that any of the moderators have anything to do with LG, I believed that the forum was run by webOS users for the benefit of other webOS users. The reason I thought this was because of the legend at the top of every page that says "User to User Support Forum".
  4. http://www.lg.com/uk/support/product-help/CT00008334-1399362198792-favorite-channel-setup If it works for you please let up know.
  5. Have a look at the following page to see if it is of any help to you: http://www.lg.com/uk/support/solutions/tv/hard-drives-flash-drives
  6. I have been using my £14 cheap cheerful bluetooth headset with my UH650V for over a year. Basically any bluetooth headset should be compatible.
  7. What exactly do you expect the forum moderators to say?
  8. I have been using the Amazon Prime Video app since I purchased my TV in late 2016 without issue.
  9. Basically you don't LG webOS is not Android TV.
  10. Currently that is not an option.
  11. It should be remember that this is a user to user forum and there is not official indication that anyone from LG actually reads what gets posted here. Listed elsewhere on the forum is a link to an official LG contact page where you can make suggestion etc.
  12. webOS is not Android, hence items on the Google Play store are not designed to run on it.
  13. http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video-accessories/lg-AN-MR650A-magic-remote https://www.personal-reviews.com/2017/05/lg-55uj6540-review/ - unit listed as Magic Remote ready
  14. Could you provide an example URL that this is happening with?
  15. Take a look on YouTube there appears to be several videos referencing how to do this.
  16. From memory this issue has been covered before on the forum, basically the TV will always default to live TV and currently there is no option to have it open a default app. The viewpoint is probably that the device is first and foremost a TV. The best thing is to registered your interest in having the TV open up to an app via LG's suggestions form which is linked elsewhere on the forum.
  17. Does anyone know if this is a regional or global problem?
  18. When you edit a film's details under tags you can add it to/create 'Collections' which would help narrow things down. You can also create additional libraries to further sub-divide things. There also is the ability to queue items to watch which might be what you are looking for. But going to the computer, finding the item you want to watch, queueing it up and then going to the TV seems a little time consuming when you can just search in the Plex app on the TV itself.
  19. OK. While not a quick fix Plex does give you the ability to create groups, add tag etc which would achieve the same end result and have them searchable.
  20. Have you tried another remote, turning it on manually or using a mobile app, just in case your current remote is faulty? If yes then probably a hardware issue.
  21. Plex user here, works great for me although I am unsure what you mean by it lumping everything into one big pile. My media is sorted in to three groups, TV, films and music. TV and music are folderised (yes it is a word!), while the films are in indeed in one folder with no sub-division. Not understanding why you need to see folder icons as the Plex interface neatly sorts these three areas of media.
  22. Not that I use BBC iPlayer a huge amount, but on the occasions I have, I have not had an issue with buffering, lock ups or the app crashing. My TV = UH650V - webOS FW V. 04.30.40
  23. "This must stop!" Well it will not, especially if LG customer support is correct in their rhetoric about contractual obligations to app providers. In the same way many UK residents would like to see the HBO app in our store, it is not going to happen because of contractual obligations between HBO & SKY. As for a sales person telling you that streaming in the browser would work, well forgive me for being cynical but they want you to purchase the product and do not know every little nuance of every product.
  24. Have the service providers actually created the apps and if so are they available in your geographical region? For instance there is a HBO GO app but it is unavailable in my country due to Sky TV having the rights to show HBO programming in the UK.
  25. Hi Kevin, At this moment in time the answer is no both questions.
