You are probably going to have to set the unit back to factory defaults: http://ccm.net/faq/40732-reset-an-lg-smart-tv-to-factory-settings

Subtitles option is Disabled
George Hofmeister replied to Dor Nissan's question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
I have tested the same on my UH650V (FW V. 04.30.40) and subtitles are working. Ensure that the file names of the video & subtitle files are the same, barring the file extension of course. Many of the subtitle files from my Plex server are formatted with the language version, i.e. A Fish Called Wanda.eng.srt which will not display, removing the .eng allows it to display. -

As detailed in the following forum link LG has an official suggestions form: -
As far as I can ascertain webOS does not have a native PDF viewer, the only way to view such a document is to follow the steps in this thread:
-
Firstly, excellent work on the correct layout of webOS, so many users get it wrong (personal gripe, long time user starting with the Pre). Secondly, I found a couple of pages that might help : http://www.lg.com/ca_en/support/product-help/CT20098005-1437132198966-usb-connection-requirements-general-operation http://webostv.developer.lge.com/discover/specifications/webos-tv-platform/supported-media-formats/

First thing people are going to want to know is the exact model of your television before anyone can offer their sage advice. -

2017 LGTV WebOS 3.5 thoughts
George Hofmeister replied to Zeroio's topic in LG TV and LG webOS Smart TV Discussion
This set of actions is Plex talking to the television to find out what resolution, whether it has to do backend encoding/rendering etc. -
Best use the feedback form that LG has:

Take a look at this article: https://www.quora.com/How-can-I-look-up-whether-my-TV-supports-Miracast It contains a link to a site that will allow you to search for your TV to see if it is compatible. If your model number is not found try just putting in the first four characters as your specific model my not be listed but the overall model range may be. The article also guides you through the process of casting from your mobile device to a television.

I think the answer is no, but if you search this forum and the web there are people who have asked the same question. Maybe one of them has found an answer.

I thought this model already ran v.3

Flush player installation
George Hofmeister replied to diganta chetia's question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
I am going to guess you meant Flash Player, and if that is the case unfortunately it is not an installable item under webOS. You will need to badger Hotstar and/or LG until they produce an application for the webOS platform. Sadly any application that is reliant on Flash Player is doomed to failure due to the regularity that Adobe update it and screw things up. -
webOS does not support Android software.
-
Do you mean that you are only using your television as a web connected device and you do not have a TV signal cable connected?

Flash not suppoted while streaming
George Hofmeister replied to Imran's question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
My point was more that instead of blaming LG for an outdated buggy insecure third party application that the manufacturer dropped support (for several years) for Unix based systems, of which webOS is one, and streaming providers provided dedicated applications for webOS and websites providers used better available alternatives the easier life will be for everyone. These guys have apparently produced an independent third party version of Flash , so you could try it: http://smartflashplayer.com. It purports to work on LG & Samsung (because they have the same issue with Flash as well). Let us know how you get on. Basically Flash is terrible, do everything you can to avoid using it. -
Flash not suppoted while streaming
George Hofmeister replied to Imran's question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
Sadly Adobe Flash is an ever changing piece of software and LG probably (somewhat understandably) do not want to spare the time and considerable expense of trying to constantly back-port fixes to earlier versions of their products. Streaming can easily be supported by friendlier non plug-in methods such as HTML 5, you just have to hope that the streaming provider finally recognises how bad Adobe Flash is and moves to something better or produces a dedicated app for webOS. As a consumer this is where you come in, go nag the provider. -
Download some apps from the web
George Hofmeister replied to Patrick A Chy's question in LG webOS Smart TV App Questions
The answer is you probably will not be able to, unless they are specifically designed for a LG webOS TV. Remember that webOS is not a Windows PC or an Android device. -

WebOS3 remote control responsiveness
George Hofmeister replied to omgold's topic in LG webOS Wish List
Hi omgold, I have had my webOS TV since the middle of December 2016 and cannot say I have seen a problem with my remote control and the navigation around the various interfaces. However, I would say that I find the remote too small with the buttons themselves small, fiddly and too closely spaced for my big mitts. My kit: LG webOS (04.30.40) TV UH650V with AKB74915324 remote control
