  1. Hi @Rohit SpyD I believe that HOTSTAR have only made their app compatible with LG TVs running webOS 3.5 and above.
  2. Hi @BHARAT MUDALIYAR https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/5633-no-sony-liv-or-mx-player/?do=findComment&comment=17887
  3. Hi @Sid Sony are apparently working on an app as @Nitin1438 detailed in this thread: https://www.lgwebos.com/topic/3797-sony-liv-app/ If you are on Twitter you can pester Sony here: https://twitter.com/SonyLIV/status/1277600344382603264 As for MX Player you would need to contact them via the following page to ask them is they are in the process of producing an app: https://www.mxplayer.in/about If you get a response from either party feel free to post it here.
  4. Hi @Halli Where did you find the information regarding UK providers?
  5. Hi @Animesh Unfortunately, you can upgrade only if LG have released webOS 3.5 for your specific model of television, the installations are not generic due to the differences between models/years/etc.
  6. Hi @Halli Are you based in the UK?
  7. Hi @Animesh I think that HOTSTAR are only supporting webOS 3.5 and onwards, and your TV is listed as being webOS 3.0. To confirm whether your TV is supported you would need to check with HOTSTAR's customer support.
  8. Hi @Bill French It could possibly be under XUMO the producer of Channel Plus: https://corp.xumo.com/lg-channel-plus/
  9. Hi @Allan B You would have to go to the LG Customer Support on the website relevant to the country you are in to raise a ticket, this is purely a User-to-User forum.
  10. Hi @Rajashekhar Badiger The forum members would need to know the model of your television to be able to tell you its resolution.
  11. I have contacted Amazon in the past and at that time they had no interest in producing an app for the webOS platform. LG TV owners basically need to keep emailing Amazon en masse until they get fed up enough to produce an app.
  12. Hi @saurabh jain I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, or feel free to search the forum for the answer, but I believe that HOTSTAR are only supporting webOS 3.5 and newer with their app. At a pinch you can use their website through the browser as HOTSTAR did go to the trouble of upgrading it to support webOS.
  13. Hi @Amit-32LH576D App availability is dependent more on the webOS version, which is a different thing to the software version installed. Also, apps may not necessarily have been produced for your model of TV or may just not be produced for the platform.
  14. Hi @Mythchef The simple answer is that HBO/Peacock have not either produced apps for the platform and/or come to a financial agreement with LG to have the apps on the platform.
  15. Please give the forum members a clue of the model of TV, which apps you are looking for, and whether you actually need to know how to install them.
  16. Hi @floraa12 UI OS is an Android OS, while webOS is it own entirely separate and unique Unix-like OS. It is unlikely that the TCL's Palm devices will be running webOS unless they are going to take the open source version and run with it, but instead will be Android powered.
  17. Hi @myalcin I am guessing that ConnectSDK has been superseded by the LG Developer: https://developer.lge.com/main/Intro.dev
  18. Hi @VISHAL PARMAR First you will need to confirm that the HOTSTAR app is available for your particular model of television.
  19. Hi @Offtrail I refer you to my original answer.
  20. Hi @Ragabob Please search the forum threads, you will find an answer to your issue.
  21. Hi @Offtrail LG are not the arbiters of what a third parties do or charges for their services.
  22. Hi @Tapas Rakshit You would be best doing what @Junaid Ahmed has done and contact Sony via their Twitter feed to show that as a user you pay a premium subscription and you are not getting your money's worth. Also, by more users contacting Sony direct it may encourage them to speed up the process of bringing a native app to LG's webOS.
  23. Hi @netaji sathe Did you bother to read my post earlier in the tread, it is like three up from this one?
  24. Hi @cali086 In other threads on the forum people have reported similar issues and have found it was due to faulty wireless models, in their case it was easy enough to find replacements on the likes of eBay. See if you can find the relevant threads and you may find if the same applies to yourself.
  25. Hi @ChrisN Sounds like a hardware fault. Given the age of the unit, it appears that it is running NetCast the predecessor to webOS you might want to start looking for a repairer to look at it. By the amount of main boards for sale it looks like that would be an area to investigate.
