Hi again, Dejan, I could realy do with a downgrade beacuse the tv gets app closed / memory issue and is unwatchable after 40-50 minutes.until you turn off and on again . Then its pretty good with everything working as it should. Any tips appreciated. Cheers Jon

Hi Dejan, Hve you sucessfully downgrade your firmware form a higher version? I have the 05.10.01 installed and would like to downgrade, Itried the method mentioned before but unable to connect to my pc? Any ideas please Cheers Jon

So after a couple of days testing I've still have app closure problem it exists with or without simplink. Turn off TV and restart again all ok for another 45 - 60 minutes Tried the downgrade option but dont know the correct path from the tv to the software on my non NAS PC. Any ideas how to point to my pc? From the file saved in the. Well tried a reset on my LB731V after installing 05.10.01 and its was working for a while with simplink turned off. Then used apps and menus and appeared the app/memory close Problems. Might go for a downgrade when time. Seems ok with hdmi Raspberry pi only. Will wait and see before a downgrade. How long will be for a full version, any ideas anyone? Also anyone know where the webpage for these downloads I can't seem to access the page directly always ask for user/password. Still unable to update to 05,10,02. Usb not recognised. Cheers Jon

Not tried the reset yet. Out for the day so maybe before anything else I'll try that. App restart seems to be worse after changing apps and changing channels. If you only use the input that opens when the tv first turned on then there seems less problems. Will see tommorrow if I get chance to try a reset.

Tried to update 5,10,02 but not recognised when usb pluged in. Strange.I made the LG_DTV folder put the software in and pluged into TV. Smart share opens with dtv folder showing. Also App closed to free up memory every 5-10 mins. O man I'll hve to downgrade later. ;(

Well Simon you were right. Easy 2 mins work. Put the software on the stick then restarted TV. Installed and working but the Misses wants to watch tv now, so unable to play but input changing seems quicker. Thanks for the info Jon (Edit) just seen ive updated to 5,10,01 will have to find time to upadate to 5,10,02

So am I right in thinking the LG630-LG870 quote is for all models between this range. I have the LB731V-ZE and I'm a little nervous of installing beta software. Cheers Jon

Cheers Magdymans, Had a quick look at the link on my phone, then I realised it was a dowload link for the firmware (haha) just used the last of my data allowance 690 mb. lol Teach me to read more carefully. Might not risk the usb update just yet. I'll wait to download from tv Thanks anyway, Jon

Spanish bought 42LB731V-ZE changed from UK to South Africa checked manualy for update and updated from 04.45.25 / 1.3.3-3521 to 04.65.05 / 1.3.3-3953, updated just fine. Once again the menus seem a bit snappier only played with it for an hour or so. Looking good to me. Keep em coming LG. I'm liking thos tv more now. Lets see how it pans out over time. Update on below post. System seems a lot more responsive now. Apps and system menus are now useable(youtube, iplayer, internet and settings menus). Hopefully the're on the right track now. Making this tv more desirable and usable.

Briefly looking through menus I didn't see anything noticeable. But the menus certainly load quicker. Smart share with 500gb WD drive is now more usable, still a little slow scrolling through the list of films. But definitely a big speed improvement. The developers are going in the right direction.

42LB731V bought and used in Spain, I'm using a UK webOs account. Manual update today from 4,32,23 I think to 4,45,04. Not too much difference, possibly a little quicker bringing menus up. Fingers crossed, will now try setting up simplink. .

I agree that would be awesome. Please someone start developing an app soon

Version 4.30.09 here in Spain. WebOs 1.3.0-3209(afro-arches) model 42LB731V-ZE OTA update pushed after 2-3 hrs of use last week, previous software unknown. Very slow menus, loading different device conections and 1 out of memory error on the first day. Hope the next version is a vast improvement. .
