  1. OK. Yes I see this webOS 23 coming to 2022 models and newer. I've never seen it myself, my TV is older. You should call LG support directly, this is a peer to peer forum, you have to be lucky enough to find a person who has the right experience ....
  2. Sorry to hear that. Have you tried unplugging all HDMI/USB/Ethernet cables/devices and turning on the TV to see if any issues can be detected? Then plug them back one at a time, ethernet first, to see if you find any correspondence with the problems. Sometimes, just reseating these things will help. For further options call LG support.
  3. Have a look in settings/safety, that's where it will be if it exists.
  4. In general, it's not possible to reinstall the same firmware via USB that's already installed in the TV, it does a version check, doesn't recognize newer software and doesn't proceed. First troubleshooting step is to unplug the TV from the power cord and let it sit for 15 minutes. While it's unplugged you can also hold in the TV's power button for 30 seconds to help drain any residual voltages. Plug it back in and recheck the TV. If the above did not help, you can try doing a full reset (It will be like when turned on for the first time) You'll find it in settings/general Also put fresh batteries in the remote control
  5. As far as I know it works the same in all LG TV's press the home button to bring up the app list. Navigate to the app you're interested in then do a long press on the enter(OK) button, to enter EDIT mode.. HIt the enter(OK) button one more time then the UP arrow to delete
  6. I believe the space for app installs and updates is not the same space for the TV OS updates. You can avoid it for now, it may remind you from time to time; in general it's best to update the tv since it fixes bugs in the software with occasional new features
  7. Hello, you have a point, you're TV is a 2019 model, should be supported. You may have to do some more research at your location. An alternative is to buy a cheap Android box and install it through the google Play Store.
  8. You're welcome, glad it helped!
  9. I noticed if I'm watching any of the LG's built in channels and then turn off the TV, the TV will always start up again on HDMI, whether the external device is on or not. If I have the TV set to "Live TV" (the tuner), and turn the TV off/on, it will start up at the Live TV. I don't think you can change this behavior. Regarding your AppleTV box, can't you turn it off (or put it to standby) by its remote control? There a probably a setting in the TV that controls whether the TV should turn off when an HDMI device turns off, but I've never seen this in mine (2017 uj series)
  10. My 2017 TV (uj6500 series) has also started doing this, last few months. On mine it's not uniform, the blue is strongest in the lower left corner. It's almost always due to the LED backlights starting to burn out and the fix is to replace them. If the TV is OK otherwise, it could be worthwhile to repair it. I was quoted $150 US at a small TV repair place to do the job.
  11. On my LG TV, if I want to switch from the Android box, I just select another input using the TV remote. eg. One of the TV's built-in apps, the tuner, another HDMI input, etc, etc.
  12. To select Apps, press the home button on the remote and they should appear
  13. try settings/general/quick start. What ever it is set to, try the other setting
  14. See this for supported TV's https://in.lgappstv.com/main/tvapp/detail?appId=456761&catCode1=&moreYn=N&cateYn=N&orderType=0&headerName=&appRankCode=&sellrUsrNo=
  15. I've noticed this also. Bets bet is to buy a cheap Android/Google TV box and connect to TV via HDMI. The Android apps don't have this kind of issues and work fine
  16. Are you trying to mirror your PC screen to the TV? Desktop itself or a media playback?
  17. Depending on the TV software version there were some recent additions in settings/general that provide some options regarding the home screen
  18. DO a long press on ther Home button and close the app that way
  19. The usual course of action is to unplug the TV from the wall for 30 minutes and then retry. If still broke, consider doing the factory reset from settings/general
  20. TV is the 2017 uj6500 series, for the last 4 - 6 weeks the FIlmrise channels do not properly load. They install, you can select them, you get the channel splash screen, then the screen goes black and stays that way until you exit out. Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't help. Any info appreciated
  21. I have to qualify the above post, this situation was resolved and the TV is working fine again, but I had to "reset to initial settings" in settings/general. This is the first time after the numerous software updates in the past this was ncessary. Before doing this reset, I first tried the mute button x3 / reset A/V to default but this did not help the poor picture/color
  22. Hello - after no updates for approx. 2 years, the TV updated to 06.00.03 about 4 months ago, now to this latest, which is described as a bug fix release. This release has changed the TV picture, it is too bright, almost garish, with a decidedly blue color cast - Let's be honest, a stable and properly balanced image was never one of the TV's strong points, now it's almost unwatchable. Why would anybody update the TV firmware picture settings of a 4 year old TV in such a drastic way?
  23. On my 2017 LG uj6500, the out of the box experience is poor, the default settings are poor, and the color accuracy / grey scale adjustments are poor. This seems to be a common experience on the lower end TV's
  24. The TV itself (assuming it's connected to the internet) will check the firmware when you turn it on. I got a notification last week (which was a surprise since it's been more than a year since the last update) I checked in the settings/general/About TV, I have WebOS 3.9.x, but TV software version 6.0.x You WebOS/software is up to date as far as I can see
  25. Is there any difference between the INSTOP reset and the factory reset available through the normal TV settings?
