That’s great news if this fixes the issue.....I continually get a reminder to do the update, I always chose NO, but suddenly it said “ completing update don’t turn your TV off “ so I immediately turned it off, then got the message “ do you want to resume update or cancel ?” I chose cancel and now the update has ceased 👍👍👍
has anyone told LG about this ? If so any reply ?
thanks
I turned off auto update a few weeks ago thank god....and it’s stopped bugging me to update.....for now anyway, please forward the issue to LG directly need a fix for this
good luck
OMG......that’s not good news.....do you know a way to roll back the update ? Apparently it’s possible, of the previous firmware can be found, done from a USB pen I think....have you reported this to LG ?
Please keep this thread updated with progress 😎
have you reported this to LG ?

you can add images, but it’s fussy on file type, I take a screenshot with my iPad and that uploads ok
will have to register, but they do respond
good luck
The best solution, as there seems to be nothing from LG , to create a Favourite channel, list with just the few needed, mine has 6 channels, once selected, the TV guide will use this and populate fairly quickly, but with all channels it’s useless
I had an issue with a Humax device, kept telling me it wasn’t connected or was connected.....the only solution was to disconnect the hdmi cable.......found a better solution since though, I sold it....😂😂😂
seriously try disconnecting all HDMi devices and see what happens, if doesn’t happen, then can try and identify the cause....maybe get newer a solution.......good luck
Think this is due to the most recent update, happened to me also, go to settings additional settings there is now an option to disable auto Home display. It’s All settings General additional settings Home settings disable Home auto launch let me know if that works.....LG had no idea how to help I found this on a forum

It may not be the same problem, but I got the HOME menu at the base of the screen when accessing any TV channel, found it is likely a new feature, go to general additional settings Home Screen display.....it’s something like that, it’s set to ON, just disable it and see if it fixes it......good luck
LG TV feature requests
1-disable floating pointer
2- name hard drives
3-be able to delete empty folders, not just video files
4-make pixel refresh automatically on cumulative hours
5-pixel refresh page confusing needs redescribing.
6-allow more padding time for recordings, up to 1 hr user defined
7-allow custom recordings to be given a name to help remember what they are
8-allow saving of TV settings to a file on a usb pen or HDD.....several named files would be good, then family could chose their favourite settings and load the file from a usb pen / hard drive. Plus could have settings that are in test, in case doesn’t work out
9+a text file to describe firmware update content is
10- would like a feature request section on LG website for ideas and allow voting, you would then have an easy access to ideas & their popularity
11-Allow setting of recordings manual or through E.P.G. To have ALL options available I.e. Pad time recurring recoding etc. Without having to exit and go back to Edit mode to change the other settings.
Hello
since upgrading my LGOLED55C9PLA firmware to 05.00.03
every time I open a TV channel, I get the HOME menu bar at the bottom of the screen, not sure if a bug, or a bad idea, it has no disable option, feel I would like to roll back to the previous firmware, is this safe ? Is there an easy procedure ? Where do I get the previous firmware file from ?
thanks
