  1. I am using the above TV. Quite often when watching a programme live from the aerial, the screen will suddenly go to the "wallpaper" screen and a box advises there is no signal, the TV is checking for a signal and please check connections etc. After a few seconds the TV resumes with the programme that was being watched. Obviously, the TV seems to be temporarily losing the signal. However, a 2nd LG TV (older model) in another room, feeding from the same aerial has no such problem and neither do I get signal drop outs when using my Humax box for recordings, all of which suggests the aerial signal is perfectly OK but for some reason the 55NANO795NE momentarily loses it. Anyone else having a similar problem and any thoughts on what to do to resolve it?
  2. Having done some more research, it appears LG is trying to get the main terrestrial TV players onto their 2020/21 models. iPlayer was introduced across the ranges a few months back and I believe ITV Hub is already available on the CX range. Not having a CX, I cannot confirm that. Hopefully, they will continue to roll out ITV Hub, My5 and All4 to the entire 2020 and 2021 model ranges soon. After all, even at the cheapest end, LG TVs are not exactly give away prices and having invested it is only reasonable for customers to expect the 4 main terrestrial streaming services, especially as that used to be the case.
  3. Thanks for the reply. The Humax box is probably 5-6 years old and I think you are right about HDMI-CEC. One of the things I did was turn on a setting on the TV to allow this type of link which seemed to be helpful in getting Universal Control to allow the Magic Remote STB button to work. Prior to that, Humax wasn't an option for STB supplier. After doing the change, Humax became visible. Anyway, it looks as if it is working as intended and my preference is not something it can cope with. It isn't a great issue, just means I will leave the STB on if I want to switch to live TV and just use the "change connections" button to select live TV. When finished, the whole lot can be turned off together. Probably more annoying is the fact my old LG TV had all the main terrestrial channel TV players and I can see using my PC that the LG Store has apps for My5, ITV Hub etc but if I access the store from the new TV, these apps are not displayed. Quite why LG consider it progress to reduce the availability of the UK main terrestrial TV apps eludes me.
  4. I have an LG 55NANO866NA television and a Humax PVP4000T set top box. After a lot of fiddling, I finally got the remote set up under Universal Controller and can turn the set top box on with the remote. This also turns the TV on and it automatically selects the correct input for the Humax box, so I have a picture. This is all ideal. The problem comes when turning off the set top box as this also turns the TV off, even though it is the STB that is used, not the TV power button. Of course, this is very irritating as quite often, I wish to come off the STB because I have been watching a recording and go to the TV to watch live TV without sacrificing quality by viewing through the STB. Does anyone have any clues about how to make the STB button just control the STB and not control the TV as well - certainly on switch off? Perhaps the solution is to use the "inputs" key and just go to live TV, leaving the set top box powered until the TV set is finally turned off? Secondly, on my old LG TV, I had all the main terrestrial TV players available, iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My 5. On this new model I just have the iPlayer and nothing else. I have looked in the app store and don't see any of the missing players. Am I missing something?
