  1. I also have this exact issue, and I am also on Rowridge, though I didn’t think of the transmitter being implicated. I can tell you the ‘fix’ - Settings/General/Programmes/Programme Tuning and Settings/Programme List Update - set this to Off. (The exact journey from Settings to Programmes varies across my four LG TVs). After that, if the programme list really changes, you will get ‘Programme Map Changed - do you want to retune Yes/No?’ and you can do this when it is convenient for you. As to the problem, it is the TV waking up once a night to check the Programme List, finding no broadcast channels, or thinking that it has, and in a massive failure of common sense, deleting all the ‘missing’ channels from your EPG, leaving only the few IP ‘channels’ that are always there, as per your first picture (even though I can’t see either image, I’m pretty sure what they look like). And then not waking up later on to check again, and maybe put the channels back. LG should fix the check so that if it finds no channels at all, it leaves things alone, or reschedules the check for an hour later, or some such. It would be interesting if anybody else reports the same issue here, and from what transmitter. I might ask Freeview what they think, as well.
  2. Yes, I can do that, but the Apple box just sits there, still on. Any attempt to turn it off with its On/Off button, either turns it on again, or it does turn off, but the TV with it. After which, when I turn the TV on again, it comes up on the Apple TV, not what I left it on. If I CBA, I’d ask on an Apple forum how to avoid this, I suppose.
  3. @davexnet The app works perfectly on my expensive AppleTV box plugged into one of the TV’s HDMI ports 😛 But once you have started the Apple TV, it’s an absolute bugger to get it to let go of the TV and yet still leave it switched on 😢 So my preferred workaround Is terrestrial 233.
  4. Started to work again for a while, and then stopped again, as above. Still just the News option, which times out; all the other options on the app work fine. And just my C2 from 2022, bought in 2023, is affected. My 2020 GX and my 2021 Nano-somethingorother work fine with News on this Sky News app.
  5. @Buymode It started working again, but has now gone back to timing out. My troubleshooting steps consist of shrugging and switching to broadcast 233. Do you have any other suggestions?
  6. webOS updated again on my C2, but the Sky News app News option still always times out.
  7. webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though. I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains. Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?
  8. The internet connection to the YouView box does not reach down the HDMI cable to the TV, even if that cable has the Ethernet strand. You should however be able to connect the TV to the router via WiFi, or via another Ethernet cable, which ever is most convenient for you. The dialogue will be under Network in Settings, the gear wheel symbol on your remote (give it a long press so that it opens up completely); on my LG C2, Network is then under General, but it’s under Connections on my GX, so you may have to look for it in the Settings. Then you just have the normal WiFi dialogue, SSID and password, as when setting up any device on your WiFi. I did dig out a manual online for your TV; it confirms the TV has WiFi, but oddly, there doesn’t seem to be a section on setting it up. Maybe this is in the Quick Start/First Setup guide? Anyway, it should be easy to do. And once you have done this, the Browser app will work, and likely all the other apps along that row, like the BBC iPlayer and so on.
