SIMON replied to SIMON's topic in LG TV and LG webOS Smart TV Discussion
Hey raVenMaD, Your HE_DTV_W15A_AFADABAA file content is wrong. First, check where you unzipped the script. Like CDN_URL in your HE_DTV_W15A_AFADABAA file sugest, it's in something like C:\LG_DTV: or you put your firmware file to C:\LgDTVUpDater in LG_DTV folder: http://192.168.1.65/LG_DTV/starfish-dvb-secured-lm15u-badlands-453201-03.03.06-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk It's very bad place anyway. You must to unpack LgDTVUpDater archive to C:\LgDTVUpDater directory and CDN_URL in HE_DTV_W15A_AFADABAA file must be looks like: http://192.168.1.65/starfish-dvb-secured-lm15u-badlands-453201-03.03.06-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk Okay, let's do it... 1. Download Software_File(Version_03.03.06).zip and unpack it to C:\LgDTVUpDater\htdocs 2. Edit HE_DTV_W15A_AFADABAA file which you created in C:\LgDTVUpDater\htdocs <RESPONSE><RESULT_CD>900</RESULT_CD> <MSG>Success</MSG> <REQ_ID>00000000002517882427</REQ_ID> <IMAGE_URL>http://192.168.0.11</IMAGE_URL> <IMAGE_SIZE>699098426</IMAGE_SIZE> <IMAGE_NAME>starfish-dvb-secured-lm15u-badlands-453201-03.03.06-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk</IMAGE_NAME> <UPDATE_MAJOR_VER>03</UPDATE_MAJOR_VER> <UPDATE_MINOR_VER>03.06</UPDATE_MINOR_VER> <FORCE_FLAG>Y</FORCE_FLAG> <KE></KE> <GMT>10 Jun 2015 19:19:18 GMT</GMT> <ECO_INFO>01</ECO_INFO> <CDN_URL>http://192.168.0.11/starfish-dvb-secured-lm15u-badlands-453201-03.03.06-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk</CDN_URL> <CONTENTS></CONTENTS></RESPONSE> a. Copy all and overwrite with HE_DTV_W15A_AFADABAA file content b. Change 192.168.0.11 with your local IP address 3. Run downgrade process follow my tutorial 4. If all goes well, remember to restore DNS settings on TV and then you can check for OTA updates if you want. -

mtuna10... 1. Where you've got 04.10.10 firmware for UF8507? 2. Last OFFICIAL firmware for your TV now is 03.20.05. 3. Why would you downgrade to 03.13.85? 4. Your CDN_URL is bad. Port 80 is not needed. It must be like: http://192.168.2.131/starfish-dvb-secured-lm15u-badlands-4552-03.13.85-prodkey_nsu_V3_SECURED.epk Please try again or I can give you downgrade instructions to 03.20.05 if you want. -

Well guys, I think that the name of TVs you both is HE_DTV_W15U_AFADABAA and that's why name isn't overwritten in in_dump file. I updated LgDTVupdater, so please try again to downgrade your firmware and let me know. If it fails, we will try to do it locally. -

Hi dtosun. I need your TV model name from in_dump file - <MODEL_NM>HE_DTV_????_????????</MODEL_NM> Please do steps from 1 to 10 with my tutorial then don't accept upgrade/downgrade. After that go to C:\LgDTVUpDater\htdocs folder and open in_dump.txt file. Copy TV model name and post it here for more instructions. -

Good for you, Demonrider. This app will now restart to free up memory on my LG650V when I searched for something in Google. I do not have any problems with other applications, only this shitty browser pissed me off every moment. I hope that you remain happy when you wake up. BTW I think that they already do not fix it. We need more physical memory rather than seeking a miracle in the firmware. -
Fkng idiots. In my LB5800 I had no problem with that. I bought a better LB650V with great cosmic webOS and it sucks. :/

Ciao Zen. Don't be angry, life is too short. We all know that webOS 1.x in our TVs is very nice piece of shit, but there are more important things in our life and things like that it's only shitty decoration. Anyway, in answer to your question - I think yes, it will be good also for your TV. Just try to downgrade with my instruction and when you done, go to TV menu and do update by OTA to next firmware which you want. If you get any problems, let me know to help you more. -
You can use AirServer on your Mac or PC connected to TV, or if you just want to watch videos, pictures and listen to music, try Allcast, ZappoTV etc. for iOS.
