  1. @amar So it turns out this setting works, as the TV no longer tries to command any of the HDMI ports. However, I opted to keep CEC on, since one of the reasons I bought an LG TV and Soundbar was to enjoy the intergration aspects of them together, of which this is one. 90% of the time, this weird issue does not occur, and hasn't occured for several weeks now, so decided to live with it. I have been cognizant of HOW I turn on the TV now, that has reduced this issue, such as activating 1 port at a time, rather than simultaneously, which seems to help. I don't mind if it auto-swtiches to the XBOX when it turns on, which is probably what I was wanting. So will let this issue slide for now. Thank you for the help.
  2. @Amar Thank you for the lead. Where I can I find that in Settings?
  3. So I spoke with an LG tech as he visited my house last week. This is in fact the design for eARC only. It has an ovveride. The idiotic thing about this is that NOTHING is mentioned in any documentation anywhere, and phone support has no knoweldge either. When I power off the sound bar, it will switch to the optical and play normally. This is not a deal breaker, just an an annoyance. But the latter are starting to pile up.
  4. I have an optical plugged into a hearing aid box. I also have an LG S95QR sound bar plugged into the eARC. Works fine in eARC. When I try to select the optical + TV option for output, it switches over ok for about .5 seconds, then automatically switches back to the eARC output without me doing it. Does anyone know what it might do this? Why can't I change my output if I so choose?
  5. I have a 65 Inch LG OLED evo AI C4 4K Smart TV 2024 - Model OLED65C4PUA.ACC. here have been a many weird things happening. This is one of them: Whenever I turn on my TV, it doesn't remember the audio settings I chose before. I repeatedly need to set my audio for the input I am using. I ofter select APPLY TO ALL INPUTS to try and make sure it's the same regardless of which input I use, but it still reverts all changes. Does anyone know what this happens?
  6. I have a 65 Inch LG OLED evo AI C4 4K Smart TV 2024 - Model OLED65C4PUA.ACC. here have been a many weird things happening. This is one of them: I followed the instructions to set the default input on my TV, but every time I cold start it, it simply goes to the screen where there is a list of apps. I try to repeatedly go to the HOME app to try to set it again, even though it already shows HDMI 4 as the start up input, but it simpy goes to the default screen where my apps are listed. Does anyone know what it would take to set this?
  7. I have a 65 Inch LG OLED evo AI C4 4K Smart TV 2024 - Model OLED65C4PUA.ACC. here have been a many weird things happening. This is one of them: I have 2 HDMI 2.1 cables attached to a Rogers Internet TV unit (HDMI 4) and the other 2.1 cable plugged into an XBOX Series X (HDMI 3). If the TV is on an HDMI 4 is active, and I turn on the XBOX (HDMI 3), the TV begins to swtich back and forth constantly and never ends until I turn off the TV. It will automatically switch itself from HDMI 4 to 3, then 3 to 4, then back to 3 again non-stop. If I power off the XBOX, this behaivor stops. Would anyone know why this does that? Is this a software or hardware problem? I tried to describe this to LG Support but they had no answers.
