Accessing saved Favorites without a FAV button
Dennis Radliff posted a question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
I have an LG OLED TV 2024, and the remote does not have a FAV button. I have saved some favorite OTA channels through the Channel Manager, but I don't know how to access them without a FAV button. Can someone help me with this? -
We own mahamdg.com, a retail store in Iran, MahamDG.com. were one of the primary LG tv distributors in Iran. We also love to sell LG Phones to our customers cause they eventually asked us for LG phone prices. we just have a suggestion based on a poll on www.mahamdg.com , our customers want their LG TVs to have the Persian language. thanks for your attention and please answer us if you wish.

Area Option Service Codes Oled 2021 models
Sol Harold posted a question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
Hi All, i’ve got an OLED 55C1 with webOS 6.0 and a service remote in South America. I’ve been able to find working area codes for almost all regions using the service remote based on previous posts and tables. Of most use to me were: Brazil: 26895 (local DTV transmission settings) /22800 (BR/US DTV transmission settings) US: 1843 / 1793 / 22287 UK/EU/Turkey: 3122 AU Australia: 767 JP Japan: 23439 I’ve also found working codes for China (CN), Taiwan (TW), Hog Kong (HK), Philippines (PH), Australia, NZ & South Asia incl. India (AJ), certain African and Middle Eastern countries (JA or JA ME IL regions: note Israel is not an option even though IL appears in the code) , Canada (CA), Mexico (MX), Panama and Central America (PA), Ecuador (EC), Colombia (CO), Peru (PE), Chile (CL), and Argentina (AR). Notably absent were working codes for; Israel (IL) Korea (KR) Russia and CIS countries (RU CIS) Eastern Europe (ETC?) Does anyone know the working area option service codes for these countries? I am mostly interested in working IL and KR codes. thank you so much! -
if anyone maybe knows a idea to resolve this, please share, thanx.. in Turkey.. oled55c1 media player can not play english audio track in the m2ts movie file from usb.. it will sound funny but, it seems like WebOs or its built-in Media Player is against english.. : (( it plays the m2TS audio track within the file with russian, spanish or italian but wierdly not english.. ¿¿?? when you go to audio tracks list setting there are no language titles.. the list only shows "song languages" or something like that.. and under that menu there are listings as 1, 2, 3.. it should list language audio tracks formally as it should be.. 1: English 2: Russian 3: Spanish or whatever listed in the file.. this is not only one-file problem.. As far as I know this issue exists in every 2021 and 2022 LG oled smartTVs WEBOS models and built-in media players for every m2TS file movies... if anyone would ask; for these movie files on PC windows OS there's no problem at all.. english audio track is there.. and plus; Samsung plays this file with english audio track without any problems.. : (((( what about installing mpc-hc on WebOs? would that resolve this issue ? possible someday ? hope this issue will be resolved with updates soon..

Hi everyone. I have a quite recent LG 43UM74507LA smart TV (2019 model). The current software version is the 05.10.25. I can read on the guide that the maximum suggested size for an external USB-connected drive is 2 TB. But what does it mean suggested? That it might be dangerous in some form for the hard drive to connect a unit which is larger than 2 TB? I am asking this because I actually use to connect a 4 TB external hard drive (a portable WD elements), with single NTFS partition, just to watch some video files (so no recording or else), and it works just perfectly. No problem of any sort. That's why I am very confused. I should also add that this drive is almost full (it contains 3.6 TB of data), and this does not affect the readability by the TV. I am indeed considering to buy another hard disk (exactly because the former one is almost full 😄), and I am considering a 8 TB WD Elements Destkop, which will be also formatted in NTFS (the only difference is that this one must be plugged to power as well, while the former only requires to be plugged to the TV via USB). Now, since the former 4 TB hard drive actually works, despite the "official suggestion", should I be confident that also the 8 TB one will work? Would you suggest me to proceed with buying that? Thank you very much in advance for your answers!

I have a LG 55" 4K UHD HDR OLED webOS Smart TV and a Sonos Arc. They have been working together fine, but suddenly are not and I cannot seem to fix it. I have tried everything from new hdmi cable to total factory reset on both pieces of equipment and I am so frustrated! Can anyone assist me with what might work? MinakshiSamvedi posted a question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
I can't connect my google home hub to my smart tv(UK6360PTE) don't say, it doesn't support it because it has an inbuilt Google assistant and also the model no is mentioned on the LG website containing the list of supported models. It's a 2018 model. The app named "connect tv to Google assistant" is missing from the home screen. I tried to be over smart (LOL) and asked the voice command for the app it said opening the "connect tv to Google assistant" app and redirected me to the app store but it said not available. Does anyone else have an issue with the CX not displaying inputs after an input selection change? I found a YouTube video discussing this issue: and in one of the comments, someone recommended disabling the Quick Select+ option; someone else suggested disabling the AMD Freesync option to fix the issue. I did both and that seems to correct the issue, but these are features that I paid for. Does anyone else have this problem? Just wondering if I have a defective unit. Thanks,

I'm trying to add channels using LG's guide / channel manager to favorite groups. When I try to select a channel to move to the favorites group, the app tunes to that channel and closes; never giving me the opportunity to add it to my new group. I was going to add all channels and try to remove the ones I don't want in that group but I can't because there's a limit. At first, I thought the issue was the 'remote control' input the TV created when I added my Direct TV remote (I had all my HDMI connections through my home receiver with only one HDMI connection to the TV) so all the inputs on the TV were listed as HDMI 2 with different names. Going through the receiver, I had a 'set top box' HDMI 2 input, PS5 HDMI 2 input, etc.; when I attempted to add the direct tv remote control option to the 'set top box', the software created a new input - Direct TV on HDMI 2 but the set-top-box remained. Initially when I tried to add a channel to my favorites, the software would change from the direct tv input to the set-top-box input and tune to that channel ( I thought it was confused by the basically the same input twice). However, I connected the Direct TV input directly to the TV and the channel favorites editor still tunes to the channel selected and closes the app. Any ideas? I'd really like to pair down the channel list to only what I watch in a few categories.

FYI: while researching some other LG mysteries, I came across this GREAT site with VERY good visuals explaining the different model numbering schemes for all the older and newer LG models. This goes from 2011 through to 2020, and is very comprehensive and easy to understand, so hats off to whoever put this all together: https://en.tab-tv.com/?page_id=7111 Apologies if this has been posted before (and the experts on here may know this stuff already), but even if in the middle of a thread, I think it deserves its own seperate topic. I am sure it will help someone.. 😊

Connect SDK is an open source framework that connects your mobile apps with multiple TV platforms. Because most TV platforms support a variety of protocols, Connect SDK integrates and abstracts the discovery and connectivity between all supported protocols. To discover supported platforms and protocols, Connect SDK uses SSDP to discover services such as DIAL, DLNA, UDAP, and Roku's External Control Guide (ECG). Connect SDK also supports ZeroConf to discover devices such as Chromecast. Even while supporting multiple discovery protocols, Connect SDK is able to generate one unified list of discovered devices from the same network. To communicate with discovered devices, Connect SDK integrates support for protocols such as DLNA, DIAL, SSAP, ECG, Chromecast, UDAP, and webOS second screen protocol. Connect SDK intelligently picks which protocol to use depending on the feature being used. For example, when connecting to a 2013 LG Smart TV, Connect SDK uses DLNA for media playback, DIAL for YouTube launching, and UDAP for system controls. On Roku, media playback and system controls are made available through ECG, and YouTube launching through DIAL. On Chromecast, media playback occurs through the Cast protocol and YouTube is launched via DIAL. To support the aforementioned use case without Connect SDK, a developer would need to implement DIAL, ECG, Chromecast, and DLNA in their app. With Connect SDK, discovering the three devices is handled for you. Furthermore, the method calls between each protocol is abstracted. That means you can use one method call to beam a video to Roku, 3 generations of LG Smart TVs, and Chromecast....Read More Source: http://connectsdk.com/
