I recently bought a LG TV with WebOS version 8.1 and have a frustrating issue. I have a usb disk with all my family photos & videos archive in it. We love to browse through the pictures and videos on big screen. But current LG TV media player displays either pictures or videos. I want to see them in the order they were captured. It would be great to enable this feature when "Photos & Videos" filter is selected.

Hello, I have LG OLED65C2LA. In mkv files there are often times 2 sets of subtitles. One is at the bottom - these are the normal subtitles. The other one is at the top - for signs and songs. The webos media player handles such subtitles very very poorly. It treats them as 1 merged sutittle track. Both tracks have the same offset. If a text from both tracks need to appear in roughly the same time. It will show the text from one of the tracks and imediately switch to the other. Making it impossible to read the text. Is there som workaround to this or is the media player just trash-tier? Is there an alternative media player for webos?

if anyone maybe knows a idea to resolve this, please share, thanx.. in Turkey.. oled55c1 media player can not play english audio track in the m2ts movie file from usb.. it will sound funny but, it seems like WebOs or its built-in Media Player is against english.. : (( it plays the m2TS audio track within the file with russian, spanish or italian but wierdly not english.. ¿¿?? when you go to audio tracks list setting there are no language titles.. the list only shows "song languages" or something like that.. and under that menu there are listings as 1, 2, 3.. it should list language audio tracks formally as it should be.. 1: English 2: Russian 3: Spanish or whatever listed in the file.. this is not only one-file problem.. As far as I know this issue exists in every 2021 and 2022 LG oled smartTVs WEBOS models and built-in media players for every m2TS file movies... if anyone would ask; for these movie files on PC windows OS there's no problem at all.. english audio track is there.. and plus; Samsung plays this file with english audio track without any problems.. : (((( what about installing mpc-hc on WebOs? would that resolve this issue ? possible someday ? hope this issue will be resolved with updates soon..

I have two LG TVs, 65SM8600PTA and OLED48A1PTA respectively. Both are connected to the same NAS router via LAN cable. Both can enter the NAS folder containing my Chinese drama series collection. 65SM8600PTA can play everything smoothly. OLED48A1PTA always stucks at loading the drama series folder (which contains ~60 video files, each video is in the size range 400MB-2GB) for very long time, >3 minutes. Upon clicking into the last layer folder, the spinner spins for very long time while attempting to regenerate previews for this and parent folders. So if there is an option to skip generating video/image previews, then listing folder content can complete much faster, and then that will solve the problem. I would like request this additional option for OLED48A1PTA to skip generating preview so that NAS video list can show up quickly. OLED48A1PTA is bought from Shopee recently under 15-day-free-return policy, if you can push an update before 2022-02-10 that solves this problem, I will accept the product. Otherwise I will raise a return-and-refund request because the OLED screen also has vertical strip issue when displaying grey background. Thanks for your notification!
