Hi Everyone, OK, so what does it take to have full Chromecast support in LG TVs (webOS)? a. Either builtin support. b. Via webOS app. The goal / use is simple as any other Chromecast device / TV: be able to say to "hey Google, play this video/music from service-X to LG-TV". Looking forward to good news and your thoughts. Thanks,

Hi there, So VLC (via DLNA) does not see LG TV webOS as renderer option. Even Windows 7 (via Explorer / Windows Media Player) sees it. What's special about LG TV webOS DLNA implementation that VLC does not see it? Thanks, PS: Some other related posts on this. So, HP decided to open source webOS...what will this mean for webOS? I can see some developers saying thnk you and rejoicing, along with some die hard fans...but....I can't help top feel that this is HP's way of saying, "Sorry for screwing up", "We're not spending too much time developing anymore", "see what you guys can do with it, we're moving on, and writing off". We have to wait and see at what level HP is going to support or back the platform after it open's it up. What the hope I think all loyal webOS fans have is that some OEM's get a hold of it...like HTC, Amazon, etc...Then we'll have something to really talk about!
