After viewing photos/videos on a flashdrive plugged into the USB of an LG TV and using SmartShare to view... and then removing the USB and then no longer having access to the TV... I noticed on the flashdrive a new folder called "LG TV" and within what appears to be files that may have been the thumbnails displayed on the TV. My question is... do those thumbnails also remain on the TV as "recently viewed" history even without the USB plugged in? The LG Smart TV online user guide refers to "Recent" ("To view a list of recently viewed or added content, select Recent). Would thumbnails be there without the source flashdrive?

55EC930T smartshare video folder 1000 file limit.
Dejan posted a question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
I have the 55ec930t in Australia with the latest firmware. When I access my synology NAS via smartshare I go to my videos folder and I can only see the first 1000 files in the folder and it won't load the rest or let me somehow go to the next lot of 1000 etc. is this a bug and could the capability to load all files in any folder no matter what the number of files is be added please in the next firmware update. I haven't checked this with a photos folder yet. DJ.- 2 replies

Hello, I have been enjoying my OLED B6 WebOS 3.0 model for half year. Just out of the sudden my two Windows machines with LG SmartShare app cannot discover my TV anymore. So I can still stream movies if I go to my TV Photos and Videos app and it detects my computer media service(s), so I can select desired video and watch it. However I cannot start streaming from my two Windows 10 computers - each computer detects another one, however TV is not detected, I cannot right click on video file in SmartShare app and find TV set under "Play to" menu. My TV and main PC have wired connection with my router, another Windows machine is laptop with WIFI only. I have tried to disable/enable TV's wired and wifi internet settings... no luck ;-/ Any hints?..

Streamed picture not shown full screen (best fit)
Appergioz posted a question in LG webOS Smart TV Questions
Hi all, I have a question in using SmartShare on LG WebOS 2.0 (my LG TV is 43UF770T, a 2015 model). Recently I often use the TV to view pictures from files located in my NAS through DLNA capabilities in SmartShare app. I found out that when I view pictures with resolution smaller than 4K, then the pictures are shown in the center of the TV screen and cannot be shown full screen (automatic best-fit). This is quite annoying because when viewing older photos taken from old phones with 1920 x 1080 resolution for example, then the picture will look small because it is not shown full screen. For comparison, when viewing video files, the TV automatically resizes the images until best-fit full screen, i.e. video with smaller resolution than 4K still shown full screen. This is exactly what I want. Does anyone here know how to get full screen image shown for smaller pictures (auto resize upscale to best fit full screen), just as with video files in SmartShare? Many thanks in advance.-

Hi LG, your Web OS is really well built, but there are a few essential features lacking. Such as: - Folder filtering in the SmartShare App (We all need this ASAP, the navigation is a nightmare!). - Audio stream selection within video files in the SmartShare App. - A PLEX App the collaborates nicely with the PLEX Client. - Faster start up times. From when you power on the TV to being able to quickly access the home menu and change the Volume, channel, etc. If you have to just offer an option to put the TV into a low power state/sleep (for as long as the user wishes) so you can resume quick menu navigation almost straight away. (and unlike Sony don't make it so after a few hours of the TV being asleep it fully powers down. (THIS IS NOT USEFULL, and is the reason I took my Sony TV back to JB HI-FI And bought yours). You could call this feature "PowerAct", or "instant on" it would make 'Life Good' and easier - Auto backlight brightness? I have the Australian LB 6500 and I can't seem to find a Auto-Backlight/dimming feature anywhere, and seeing as I use it in my room, when the lights are off I want it to dim so I don't go blind. I don't know if you've implemented a Ambient light sensor or not, but for $1,800 I would think you should have. - If you would Like anymore Feedback/Suggestions, Feature requests or ideas from me then just PM me or write on this thread Thank you LG, and thank you for being one of the very few 'Innovative' companies around today.

I really like the ability to send audio files straight to the TV from Windows via Window's context menu's Play To function, or any other UPnP controller software. The TV seamlessly enters into SmartShare mode and plays the file, then seamlessly exits SmartShare when the UPnP controller is closed. My only gripe, and it's a significant one, is the lack of a screensaver when the TV is playing audio only in the SmartShare app. I realise there is an option to turn off the screen, but you have to dig through the settings to do this. Is there a setting somewhere for this feature, or did they neglect to create it? If so, it seems like a huge oversight not having a screensaver in SmartShare mode when the DNLA/UPnP renderer is playing audio only.
