I guess I'm not the first one asking this basic feature but is there a way to tell LG smart TV to ignore certain folder on USB drive and don't scan it?

I'm having issues with people in adjacent apartments to mine connecting to my LG 55LJ55 and casting apps (YouTube mainly). I live in a hotel-like apartment and use a communal WiFi network so this actually happens quite often. Have changed the TV's name to 'guaranteed virus' in a bid to curb this, but you'd be surprised that it still happens! Whilst I can stop apps from turning the TV on, I seem unable to limit who can connect to it when it is on. Any ideas???

One of the things we wish has been utilized more in the webOS notification area was the option to display a status bar of some sort. There've been a few apps, like
link hidden, please login to view (and ) or to display sports game score alerts. But by-and-large, the quasi-widget status potential with the webOS notification area was never fully realized. The have breathed new life into the dashboard potential for the TouchPad, . Taking full advantage of that is webOS Nation Forum member and developer , who has whipped up a nice clean dashboard app for your weather, appropriately titled "". The app lives in your notification area and is compatible with both webOS tablets and smartphones. Dash Weather uses webOS's location services to get your local weather, so even GPS-less TouchPad users can get localized weather information thanks to ballparking it off your Wi-Fi IP address.
On a smartphone or standard TouchPad, Dash Weather displays the current temperature, forecasted high and low, and two other bits of your choice, including the location, current conditions (cloudy/fair/etc), sunrise/sunset, and more. But what really makes Dash Weather is the LunaCE option, allowing you to have a double-height dashboard widget. With that taller space you can display more info at once (duh), and it thankfully carries over onto a LunaCE-enabled TouchPad's lock screen too.
, and . If you happen to like it, we recommend sending a donation the way of Garrett92c at the source link below.

While HP was able to deliver on
link hidden, please login to view, spitting out the first version of on schedule , been lagging behind a bit. The roadmap called for the application framework to hit version 2.1 in April, and it just so happened to land at the end of October instead (if you're doing the math, yes, October is as far from April as one can get before getting closer to the next April). Enyo's seen a number of updates since was released back in January, but hitting that x.1 mark took a while. Of course, they did have to content with ; that's enough to delay any project for a few months, so we'll cut them some slack. Enyo 2.1 is here now, and it includes a number of features we're sure cross-platform app developers will find interesting. There's LESS-based theming support, which enables developers to customize the already-released Onyx user interface widgets in a dynamic and variable manner. The global localization library from the TouchPad - g11n - has now been open-sourced with Enyo 2.1, making it easier to format dates, times, and numbers for the locale in which your Enyo 2.0-based app is being used.
Additionally, the Enyo team has moved Chrome for Android and iOS 6 to their "Tier 1" support level, which translates to these platforms getting the highest priority when it comes to fixing bugs, correcting for changes in the platform, and other testing bits. They'll be adding Internet Explorer 10 to Enyo 2.1 support (including touch events) as well as the Android-based platform.
Lastly, Enyo 2.1 includes the release of a handful of new user interface widgets to make it easier to build your apps. Onyx now includes a new range slider and localizable date and time picker widgets. The layout library has also received a new ImageView widget that supports multitouch zooming and panning. The has been updated with these new widgets, so you can try them out and know how they look and behave before adding them to your app.

So much has happened in the past 36 hours it’s enough to make your head explode. First HP announced its
link hidden, please login to view over a two-year period; then the core . We are happy that the team found fantastic jobs, but we all would like to slap you individually. Anyone that was up at 10:30 pm yesterday got the heart sinking news via Twitter. Not the best way to be met with bad news the second time in a week. The fans of webOS who are true blue were again slapped in the face. What’s going to happen to our phones, what’s going to happen to the TouchPad? What’s going to happen to webOS? The Enyo team has released this statement:
The core of Enyo 2 is solid. We’re hearing great things from developers about the performance improvements in the last release, and we have another release on the way. After that, we’ll focus on expanding the Onyx widget set. We’ve enlisted the support of the developer relations engineers you know and love to help out as we work on growing the team.
That’s right, we’re growing. As we said earlier this month, we’re hiring — not just to replace the engineers who have left, but to increase the size of the team going forward. If you would like to contribute to the success of Enyo (and get paid for it) please let us know. And of course, all are welcome to contribute to the code by making GitHub pull requests.
Our door is open; if you have any concerns, feel free to voice them in the Enyo forums. We’re always listening and will do our best to address your questions. We’ll also be out in person at next week’s O’Reilly Fluent Conference in San Francisco, and at HP Discover in Las Vegas the following week — we’d love to see you there.
So there you have it, we are moving on as planned so calm your fears. The Enyo team are here for the long haul.
