Vision Display: Shaping the Future of Automotive Interiors
Presenting a range of new possibilities for future automotive interiors, the Vision Display solution is designed to adapt seamlessly to dynamic environments. Its 12.3-inch Transparent OLED screen offers key data to inform and entertain passengers during autonomous driving, displaying real-time navigation, current speed and points of interest (POI). LG’s solution also features a 14.2-inch roll-in-and-out Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display embedded in the center console, which can be retracted when not in use, maintaining a clean and minimalist cabin space.
Intelligent HMI Solution: Intuitive AI-Driven User-Vehicle Interaction
The Intelligent HMI solution leverages AI and responsive touch technology to provide easy, intuitive user-vehicle interactions. A key feature is the adaptive controller, a touch-sensitive curved OLED display integrated into the steering wheel, allowing drivers to effortlessly manage navigation, multimedia and climate-control settings, complete with haptic feedback for a more tactile experience.
In autonomous driving mode, the adaptive controller can make the journey more enjoyable by providing access to entertainment apps and games. Furthermore, LG’s AI-based virtual assistant offers smart support for various situations. For example, if it detects driver fatigue, it can order a coffee from a nearby location and facilitate quick payment via the screen’s built-in fingerprint-recognition sensor. The Intelligent HMI solution also supports the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 standard, enabling system updates and real-time emergency alerts without requiring a network connection.
Connectivity & Content Solution for Seamless Entertainment and Smart Mobility
The Connectivity & Content solution transforms the rear passenger seats into an interactive entertainment hub, enhancing in-car experiences through 5G network connectivity and LG’s webOS platform. Passengers can stream high-definition content, access live broadcasts, interact with POI data, share their screen via the in-car screen-mirroring feature, and navigate content and control volume using hand gestures. Supporting a number of different ride-sharing apps, the webOS-based Connectivity & Content also represents a convenient solution for owner-drivers.

This year’s event, held during LG NOVA’s annual in San Francisco, featured standout startups focused on Life Sciences, Open Innovation, HealthTech, AI, Smart Life and CleanTech, with three companies recognized for their potential to drive impactful change. Ten startups competed for cash prizes and recognition in front of a panel of industry experts, LG executives and investors. The 2024 winners are:
First Place: . – mDETECT has developed highly-sensitive cancer blood tests using DNA sequencing, offering a universal approach to monitoring therapy response and detecting cancer progression. The company received the top prize of $15,000. Second Place: – Glidance is revolutionizing independent mobility for people who are blind or have low vision with Glide, the first AI-powered intelligent guide, which enhances confidence, safety, and autonomy. Glidance was awarded $10,000. Innovation for Impact: – Oncoustics is transforming low-cost point-of-care ultrasound devices into powerful diagnostic tools for early detection and monitoring of liver diseases using AI. Oncoustics received $10,000 for its selection as Innovation for Impact company. This award category was sponsored by LG Chem. New Comprehensive Laundry Solution Meets Diverse Space and Customer Needs,
Offering Powerful Washing Capabilities and User-Friendly Convenience Features
SEOUL, Aug. 22, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is set to unveil its latest washer at IFA 2024. The new model boasts the company’s state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD) 2.0 technology and Pet Care cycle features, delivering an effective washing performance with a larger and more efficient capacity.
Leveraging the company’s advanced low-vibration technology, LG presents its first washer in the 25-inch category, offering the convenience of larger washing loads with an increased drum capacity of up to 16 kilograms.1 In addition to the increased capacity, the new washer the integrates a cutting-edge AI technology that enhances the washer’s performance.
At the core of the new washer’s performance is the AI DD 2.0, which utilizes deep learning technology to automatically detect the load weight, fabric softness and soil level of the garments. The washer then uses 6Motion technology to select the optimal washing pattern, reducing fabric damage by 10 percent to help clothing last longer.2 What’s more, pet owners can take advantage of the Pet Care cycle feature, which offers high-temperature washing up to 60 degrees Celsius and four warm water rinse cycles, effectively removing 99 percent of pet odors.3
Furthermore, LG’s new washer streamlines the laundry experience with enhanced performance technology and convenience features. Thanks to TurboWash 360, washing cycles can be reduced to just 39 minutes, while ezDispense technology simplifies the process by determining the necessary amount of detergent for a load. The washer offers a total of up to 39 washing cycles4 and automatically remembers the most frequently used cycles and features to minimize the time spent on setting selection. Users can also access the Cycle List Edit option to customize their preferences based on habits.
The washer employs LG’s renowned Inverter DirectDrive Motor, the company’s advanced core component technology, to deliver a quiet performance and enhanced durability.

Open since 2020, the showroom artfully exhibits the sleek offerings of the Signature Kitchen Suite while introducing visitors to the brand’s True to Food philosophy. This stylish space, where tradition meets innovation, spans three levels – ground floor, basement and mezzanine – each featuring stellar Signature Kitchen Suite built-ins designed and made to the most exacting standards. Coinciding with Milan Design Week, LG showcased a variety of stunning appliances brought to life through its collaborations with high-end furniture brands and design groups. Its upper compartment can be used for the efficient storage of bottled water, beer, wine (or other beverages) and even cosmetics, while its lower compartment functions as a convenient freezer.
Another aesthetically-unimpeachable appliance that debuted during Salone del Mobile was the Signature Kitchen Suite Wine Cabin. A collaboration between LG and m2atlier, a Milan-based architectural design group, this remarkable piece provides temperature-controlled wine storage in its lower compartment, storage space for wine glasses and bottles in its upper compartment, and a beautiful cigar box in between.
