. "What the hell does that mean?" you ask. Well, in a nutshell it means that these 37 devices took one step closer to what the CyanogenMod team considers a "stable" release. Either way, many of us with rushed to the various forums on the interwebs in hopes that we too moved to the next step in the beta process but alas we are not quite there yet.

We're not left in the cold, as the newest CM9 official nightly build has a bit of functionality that has been missing for some time now. The newest build finally has mic support so we can utilize all the nifty apps and cool Android voice functions. We have found in our testing that it is hit and miss as to which apps work and which ones don't though. For example, trying to do a voice chat in Gtalk results in a force close of the app whereas voice chat in Skype works like a champ. So don't expect everything to work as intended for the time being.

This functionality is yet another step forward in the progress toward a stable build for CM9 on the TouchPad. All that lacks now is a little polish on the mic service and getting the camera support up and running. These two bits have been an issue since the move from CM7 to CM9 but the CyanogenMod team are obviously hard at work to remedy both of those issues. Hopefully, one day in the near future we will have a fully stable release of CM9 to ride shotgun with. In the meantime we will be more than happy to run the nightly next to in the very near future!

Designed for the Healthcare Sector, Company’s Latest Medical Monitor
Provides Impressive Imaging and Convenient Features

SEOUL, Oct. 9, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is launching its new 31.5-inch surgical monitor (model 32HR734S) featuring advanced Mini LED display technology. Designed to provide color video displays of images from surgical endoscopes, laparoscopic camera systems and other compatible medical imaging systems, LG’s monitor has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. FDA, indicating it can now be sold in the U.S. The 32HR734S’s Mini LED technology enables precise brightness control and provides a wide color range, optimizing image clarity and color, making it an ideal choice for a variety of surgical applications, including laparoscopy and endoscopy.
The 32HR734S features a 31.5-inch, 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) Mini-LED display leveraging thousands of tiny LED diodes as the Back Light Unit (BLU). Delivering 2,000 cd/m² peak brightness and a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, LG’s medical monitor leverages 1,536 local dimming zones to produce clear, detailed images and enhanced visual contrast. The display also provides excellent color consistency across the screen and boasts 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
In addition to its impressive visual performance, the 32HR734S delivers the durability and reliability necessary for surgical settings. Employing Optical Bonding technology, along with Anti-Glare, Anti-Reflection and Anti-Fingerprint coatings on its front, LG’s 32HR734S 4K surgical monitor ensures optimal visibility even in brightly lit operating rooms. What’s more, the front and rear of the product (IP45- and IP32-rated, respectively) offer excellent resistance to water and dust, preventing fluids or particles from disrupting monitor operation during surgeries.
The 32HR734S is also the first LG surgical monitor to incorporate the innovative Clone Screen feature. Clone Screen allows users to duplicate the image being displayed on the 32HR734S on a second monitor (connected via HDMI), significantly enhancing operational efficiency and communication within the surgical environment, especially in situations where multiple medical professionals need to view the same image.
For added versatility, the display’s Mirror Mode makes it possible to flip the on-screen image horizontally, while Rotation Mode can rotate the image 180 degrees to match the orientation of the surgical camera. The 32HR734S also provides Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) functionality, the latter allowing the display of up to four different image sources simultaneously. This enables medical staff to view a combination of inputs or images, such as laparoscopic and fluoroscopic images, while monitoring the patient’s vital signs at the same time.
“Featuring advanced Mini LED technology, the 32HR734S delivers the excellent picture quality and convenient functionality needed in surgical settings,” said YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Business Solutions Company. “We believe our new model will significantly boost efficiency for medical professionals performing and assisting with surgeries.”

The Kia EV3 Comes Equipped With LG’s webOS-Based ACP, Elevating the In-Car
      Experience to New Heights

SEOUL, May 27, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is bringing its cutting-edge Automotive Content Platform (ACP) powered by webOS to the latest all-electric SUV from Kia Corporation (Kia). The integration of LG’s ACP into the recently unveiled Kia EV3 marks the first time the innovative solution has been applied to an electric vehicle. LG’s automotive entertainment platform initially debuted in South Korea last year with the introduction of the Hyundai Motor Group (Hyundai) Genesis GV80 and GV80 Coupe.
The webOS-based ACP brings the home entertainment experience into the vehicle cabin, aligning with LG’s future mobility vision to transform the car into a “living space on wheels.” This platform is an integral part of LG AlphaWare, LG’s suite of software solutions for software-defined vehicles (SDVs). It offers a wide range of content that has made LG Smart TVs with webOS so popular with consumers worldwide. Optimized for the in-car environment, LG’s ACP powered by webOS allows vehicle passengers to sit back and immerse themselves in their favorite content – just like they would at home.
LG’s ACP makes commutes and road trips more entertaining and enriching by providing EV3 owners and passengers access to apps from a wide range of premium content providers, including Netflix, YouTube, Baby Shark World for Kids, Stingray Karaoke, Play.Works and LG Channels. Thanks to LG and Kia’s close collaboration, the EV3 conveniently puts LG’s powerful platform at each passenger’s fingertips, enabling them to enjoy high-quality content on the car’s built-in screens. From streaming services and social media platforms to educational content for kids, users have access to a variety of content previously only available on mobile devices or TV.*
The webOS-based entertainment system from LG is continuously updated and enhanced, ensuring seamless integration with applications such as Baby Shark World for Kids. The mobile education app, beloved by children all over the world, presents over 9,000 songs and stories designed to educate and enthrall young learners and is readily available for download from the LG Content Store on the ACP.
LG’s advanced ACP now offers an enriched content streaming experience with the recent addition of the company’s exclusive, free streaming service, LG Channels. Tailored for in-vehicle use, LG Channels presents over 80 channels, real-time news updates and over 400 VOD content options, including movies, dramas and animated series for children – all ready to watch without any complex sign-ups required. LG aims to expand its in-vehicle LG Channels service (which was first launched on ACP for the Genesis GV80) with more outstanding content choices set to arrive in the near future.
“Featuring numerous user-centric innovations including LG’s ACP powered by webOS, the EV3 enables our customers to enjoy a compelling in-vehicle experience, complete with many of their favorite premium streaming services,” said Ryu Chang-sung, senior vice president and head of the Global Brand & CX division at Kia.
“Our in-vehicle content platform elevates the mobility experience, providing easy access to a diverse array of high-quality content,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of LG Vehicle component Solutions Company. “We will continue to collaborate with leading global content providers to further enrich LG’s ACP, meeting the demands of both automakers and end users.”

      Hello,
I have a problem with my new LG OLED G2 newest version 4 firmware.
I tried sorting my satellite channels with chansort programm from github, because sorting them with the tv remote is a pain.
When I try to sort them with the remote and have selected about 10 or more channels all the selected channels get suddenly getting deselected, so I can only select up to 10 at a time  to
sort them -> must be some kind of firmwarebug?
After exporting the channellist to a usb stick then editing it with chansort an importing it back into the tv all my channels are gone, all transponderns are deleted.
First I thought it was a charsort problem but all channels and transponders get also deleted when I simply export them to a usb drive an import them back, without editing the file at all.
Does someone know how to fix this problem?
And yes I´ve done multiple factory resets -> did not fix any of this behaviour.
I also discoverd another bug the deletes all channels, because I needed to reboot the tv I searched for a reboot option in the tvs menu, but there is no reboot option.
To do a full reboot (except from forcing it through cutting the tvs power) you can deselect the privicy agreements, after that the tv reboots, but then all channels are gone too.
