SEOUL, Apr. 18, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is unveiling its latest built-in kitchen appliances at Milan Design Week (MDW) 2024, taking place in Milan, Italy, from April 16-21. At the center of LG’s Milan showcase are the brand-new Signature Kitchen Suite built-in oven, free zone induction hob and downdraft hood. Boasting innovative, premium design and highly-convenient features, the company’s refined built-in solutions bring exceptional ease-of-use and effortless elegance to the kitchen.

Signature Kitchen Suite Built-in Oven with Advanced Cooking Technologies
Debuting at MDW 2024 and designed with European consumers in mind, the Signature Kitchen Suite 60-centimeter (24-inch) built-in oven offers a variety of cutting-edge features and AI technologies to elevate the culinary experience. Equipped with Gourmet AI™, the oven can identify what the user is cooking and automatically select the appropriate cooking mode from 130 recipes. Gourmet AI also enables ‘browning’ control for foods such as pizza and steak, actively keeping tabs on the cooking process and notifying users via the ThinQ™ app as soon as their food is done. Thanks to video-recognition, LG’s intelligent oven can suggest the optimal settings for the dish being prepared, while real-time video monitoring and time-lapse recording make it easy to check on the progress of one’s meal using the ThinQ app.

Employing enhanced ProBake powered by inverter technology, the new oven delivers uniform heat and fast, efficient cooking with an A++ energy rating. LG’s innovative technology rotates the convection fan back and forth to ensure shorter preheating times, even heating and crispier results when using the oven’s Air Fry mode. The company’s unique InstaView™ technology further enhances user convenience, making it possible to see inside simply by knocking twice on the oven door.

Free Zone Induction Hob for Convenient and Flexible Cooking
The Signature Kitchen Suite’s 90-centimeter (36-inch) free zone induction hob presents next-level flexibility and ease-of-use, allowing users to place any size and type of cookware – such as Paella pans and moka pots – anywhere on its cooking surface.* The new appliance can detect and track the position of cookware, eliminating the need to manually cancel and reapply settings when moving a saucepan or skillet from one part of the cooking surface to another. What’s more, the AI technology embedded in the hob can detect the temperature of cookware and automatically lower the heat when necessary, helping to minimize spills and splatter when boiling water or preparing soups and sauces.

Expanded Built-in Lineups for Diverse Kitchen Lifestyles
LG is further bolstering its built-in product lineup with the introduction of the new Signature Kitchen Suite downdraft hood. Made to integrate seamlessly into islands and countertops, the 90-centimeter (36-inch) hood offers a sleek, sophisticated look with its chic black glass and modern frame design. It also provides powerful ventilation, effectively extracting steam and odors for a more pleasant cooking experience.

Additionally, LG has expanded its portfolio of built-in appliances for the European market. Along with new products, such as an 80-centimeter (30-inch) induction hob and built-in combi refrigerators and microwave ovens, the company now provides a wider range of options within its oven lineups – from more product variation to a greater choice of colors and sizes. Among the new models are the Signature Kitchen Suite 122 centimeter (48 inch)-wide French-door refrigerator and stunning appliances from the Transitional lineup, featuring slim handles and satin stainless steel exteriors with a velvety matte finish. To help customers create a curated kitchen aesthetic, the company offers an array of new finishes for its premium built-in products, with black stainless steel and stainless steel joining the previously-introduced black glass finish.

“We are thrilled to showcase our latest built-in innovations at this year’s Milan Design Week, demonstrating our commitment to leading new design trends and meeting the diverse needs of European customers,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “LG will continue to strengthen its presence in Europe through an expanded range of built-in appliances delivering style, performance and convenience in the kitchen.”

Visitors to MDW 2024 in Milan from April 16-21 can experience LG’s latest built-in lineups at the LG booth at Milan Fairgrounds.

Providing More Tailored Options for Diverse B2B Environments

SEOUL, Jan. 20, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) will unveil an enhanced version of LG Business Cloud, an online platform that streamlines the management and operation of LG commercial displays and hotel TVs, at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, from February 4-7. Designed to meet the evolving demands of B2B clients, the platform now offers the LG DOOH Ads advertising solution for digital signage products, as well as the LG Pro:Centric Stay solution for short-term rental businesses.
LG DOOH Ads provides customers with a comprehensive, customizable and easy-to-use solution for commercial display advertising. Users can set key parameters, such as region, price and ad types, and LG DOOH Ads will automatically select suitable advertisements for display. This reduces the need for businesses to find and secure advertisers themselves. In addition, LG’s advertising solution gives users the flexibility to display ads that they have sourced independently. What’s more, LG DOOH Ads uses advanced AI camera technology to analyze viewers’ data such as gender, age and behavior, delivering customized advertisements based on viewer behavior. It also provides analysis reports on the expected effectiveness of these ads.*
LG Business Cloud also introduces LG Pro:Centric Stay, a new solution created specifically for short-term rental businesses. LG Pro:Centric Stay complements the existing lineup of software solutions available on the platform, including the LG SuperSign Cloud digital signage content management system, LG Pro:Centric Cloud for hotel TVs and LG ConnectedCare. Tailored for diverse B2B environments, these innovative tools help to ensure greater efficiency and flexibility in signage management.
Worldwide, LG continues to support major B2B clients with its seamlessly integrated signage software solutions. Mexico-based hospitality company, Grand Velas, employs LG Pro:Centric Cloud, a solution designed expressly for LG Hotel TVs. LG Pro:Centric Cloud simplifies content management and enhances the guest experience, allowing operators to provide personalized information – such as targeted discount offers for honeymooners or shuttle departure times for tour groups – to each room.
A prominent Spanish telecommunications provider and a well-known U.S. fast-food franchise have embraced LG ConnectedCare, a solution that delivers convenient and intuitive remote display management. Significantly improving operational efficiency, LG’s solution reduces the need to individually adjust each display and enables proactive issue resolution, providing timely email alerts to system managers in the event that a screen error is detected.
LG’s impressive digital signage software solutions – including the newly-added LG DOOH Ads and LG Pro:Centric Stay – are all accessible through the LG Business Cloud platform.
“With the arrival of LG DOOH Ads and LG Pro:Centric Stay on LG Business Cloud, companies can now manage their digital displays more efficiently,” said Paik Ki-mun, head of Information Display Business of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “We aim to provide global B2B clients with differentiated signage software through LG Business Cloud, enabling remote display management and personalized content distribution.”
Attendees of LG’s session at ISE 2025 who verify their subscription to the LG Business Cloud platform will receive an exclusive 50 percent discount coupon for the solution subscriptions.

Company Recognized for Advanced Global Testing Capabilities,
Expands Its AI-Based “LG Shield” Security System

SEOUL, Jan. 15, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is enhancing its cybersecurity capabilities for connected devices in response to advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and the widespread adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT).
LG’s SW Testing Laboratory has recently obtained accreditation to perform cybersecurity testing for IoT devices from the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS), a part of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS).
This accreditation is globally recognized under the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement (ILAC-MRA). Consequently, test reports issued by LG’s SW Testing Laboratory – testing compliance with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute’s (ETSI) cybersecurity standards for IoT devices (EN 303 64511 and TS 103 70122) – will carry the same weight as those issued by other accredited testing laboratories in over 100 countries, including the U.S. and Japan.
KOLAS’ IoT cybersecurity testing accreditation validates the credibility of LG’s existing testing processes. By acquiring the ability to internally test the cybersecurity of its products, LG will significantly reduce both the cost and time needed to obtain accredited test reports for its new and upcoming innovations.
As IoT and AI products become more prevalent and related security regulations are established, LG will continue to efficiently manage and rapidly respond to cybersecurity testing requirements across various global markets.
LG’s SW Testing Laboratory is the first manufacturer-run testing laboratory in South Korea to receive KOLAS’ internationally-recognized accreditation for software testing. The lab has also expanded its expertise to include home appliance software safety and automotive software safety. LG aims to leverage both its quality testing accreditation and cybersecurity testing capabilities to provide customers with reliable, high-quality products and security solutions.
Meanwhile, LG is actively pursuing Responsible Intelligence – one of the key pillars of the company’s Affectionate Intelligence – and is continuously reinforcing security measures for its AI-enabled products. LG has applied its sophisticated cybersecurity processes and solutions to provide robust digital protection for network-connected products and any shared or stored customer data.
More specifically, LG employs a comprehensive array of cybersecurity protocols throughout the product lifecycle, from initial planning and development through to post-launch usage. This approach minimizes the risk of data breaches by empowering the secure management of both sensitive personal information and user data generated during product usage.
In addition, LG is expanding the implementation of “LG Shield,” the company’s advanced AI-based security system, across its growing lineup of AI-enabled products. LG Shield proactively protects products, software platforms and user data using a variety of advanced processes, methods and technologies.
LG Shield prevents data leakage by encrypting sensitive information, including personal data, and securely storing encryption keys in segregated digital spaces. It also protects products’ operating systems by utilizing a secure server environment and real-time threat detection to prevent unauthorized access and tampering with operational code or data.
“We will continue to strengthen our cybersecurity capabilities to meet the latest global cybersecurity regulations and improve our software competitiveness,” said Park In-sung, head of the Software Center at LG Electronics.

A quick search of #kitchendesign on Instagram reveals over 18.5 million posts, while #lifestyle boasts around 374 million posts, showcasing the modern kitchen as a hub of creativity, care and connection. In line with this trend, LG operates the Life’s Good Kitchen channel, a platform dedicated to kitchen lifestyle enthusiasts.
Examples of Life’s Good Kitchen “Special Goods”: apron, oven mitt, and eco bag set with embroidered patches for personalized style
The Life’s Good Kitchen channel is the ideal online destination for those passionate about the latest food and lifestyle trends. While embodying LG’s inspirational Life’s Good philosophy, it continues its mission of bringing people together, catering to individuals who may not be expert cooks but are keen on a simple and healthy lifestyle.
Instagram and TikTok, two of the most popular social media platforms, serve as a “global dining table” where users can explore diverse culinary cultures, seek cooking inspiration, and even make new friends. The Life’s Good Kitchen channel actively participates in this phenomenon, allowing gourmets worldwide to share their love for good food.

In October, the Life’s Good Kitchen channel launched the Cooking Challenge, an international campaign targeting TikTok users across Australia, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. The campaign invites people to share their culinary experiences through two challenges: the Inspiration vs. Reality Cuisine Challenge (for beginners) and the LG Microwave Gourmet Cooking Challenge (for more experienced cooks). These challenges ensure that everyone, from novices to experts, can join in the fun. With over 5,000 participants so far, LG’s campaign has become a dynamic platform for food lovers to express their joy for cooking.
The Cooking Challenge, part of an LG brand campaign promoting the benefits of home cooking, aims to discover talented culinary creators (as well as those who perhaps have more ambition than skill). LG’s campaign fosters a diverse community of food enthusiasts, driving engagement with the Life’s Good Kitchen channel and creating brand fans who may consider LG products when upgrading their kitchen appliances.
The Inspiration vs. Reality Cuisine Challenge encourages participants to upload photos of dishes that didn’t turn out as expected, offering a lighthearted test for home chefs. Meanwhile, the LG Microwave Gourmet Cooking Challenge allows seasoned cooks to share unique recipes made with the LG NeoChef microwave, using special GIF stickers and the hashtag #LGCookingChallenge2024. Launched on Instagram in July 2021, the Life’s Good Kitchen channel has grown into a vibrant global community of over 6 million followers across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The channel celebrates cooking experiences, culinary cultures and sustainable living, aligning with global trends and the interests of Millennials and Generation Z.

LG offers unique experiences with “LG InstaView miniature” and miniature cooking recipes
LG prioritizes customer-centered content, fostering meaningful interaction and engagement by avoiding direct product promotion and staying true to its Life’s Good philosophy. Initiatives like the Kreator program, which combines “kitchen” and “creator,” enhance LG’s ability to connect with people worldwide.
For years, LG has engaged customers through impactful campaigns. The 2021 Food of the Day campaign promoted health and well-being, while the 2022 Party Food with Playmobil challenge celebrated the joy of hosting gatherings post-pandemic. The 2023 Comfort Food Challenge allowed customers to share their favorite stress-relieving foods.

LG Sets New Standard in Accuracy and Reliability for In-Cabin Solutions With
Ambarella-Powered Driver Monitoring System; Plans Demo During CES 2025

SEOUL, Korea and SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 5, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG), a mobility sector technology leader, and Ambarella, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMBA), an edge AI semiconductor company, today announced that LG will showcase its latest in-cabin solution, developed in partnership with Ambarella, during CES 2025. Ambarella worked in close cooperation with LG to integrate its CV25 AI system-on-chip (SoC) into LG’s Driver Monitoring System (DMS), which allows automotive OEMs to deliver safer vehicles. This DMS is already in production with a global automotive OEM.
With its industry-leading AI performance per watt, Ambarella’s CV25 chipset enables LG’s DMS to perform real time analysis of high-resolution video from in-vehicle cameras. In addition to accurate object recognition, this AI SoC supports smooth high-definition video processing and achieves high energy efficiency, making it ideal for integration with various in-vehicle sensors. The CV25, which is manufactured using 10-nanometer process technology, also facilitates high-quality, detailed imaging in low-light and over a high dynamic range, ensuring stable monitoring regardless of environment, weather or time of day.
Leveraging LG’s VisionWare, a key part of the company’s AlphaWare portfolio of mobility software, this new DMS can accurately detect subtle eye and head movements of the driver. The system employs AI to determine whether the driver is distracted or drowsy based on these movements. Equipped with the CV25, the DMS can recognize these cues irrespective of the driver’s race, gender or age, and provides precise detection and analysis even if the driver is wearing sunglasses, a hat or other accessories.
LG’s DMS solution is designed to fit seamlessly into a variety of software and hardware configurations, offering automotive OEMs considerable flexibility when developing new vehicle models. This flexibility extends to other Ambarella-based LG in-cabin solutions, including its Interior Monitoring System and its Driver and Interior Monitoring System. Additionally, LG is committed to expanding its partnership with Ambarella, as part of its efforts to continuously increase performance for the broad range of LG in-cabin solutions while taking the mobility experience to new heights.
LG and Ambarella are both dedicated to improving vehicle safety, and plan to continue working together and delivering solutions that enable OEMs to meet the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and General Safety Regulation (GSR) standards. Additionally, LG is an active partner in Ambarella’s innovation ecosystem; bringing its considerable experience and expertise to this network of industry leaders in AI-based perception, fusion and planning for automotive systems.
“The combination of LG’s highly accurate and reliable in-cabin solutions with the industry-leading AI performance per watt of our CVflow® SoCs is enabling automotive OEMs to achieve the highest vehicle safety levels,” said Fermi Wang, President and CEO of Ambarella. “Our CV25 SoC combines high performance for processing LG’s AI perception stack, along with great efficiency for low power consumption and reduced thermal management, resulting in compact, flexible form factors for vehicle interiors.”
“Our collaboration with Ambarella represents a major step forward in the use of AI-driven technology to advance vehicle safety,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of LG Vehicle Solution Company. “By combining LG’s in-cabin monitoring expertise with Ambarella’s cutting-edge AI chipset, we’re setting a new standard for in-cabin solutions and actively enhancing road safety.”
