To reinforce its foothold in this vital market, LG Taiwan recently held the LG gram 2024 Series Launch Event at Zhuori Coffee Shop in Taipei. The event, which was presented in the form of a light teatime talk session, invited journalists and editors, especially those who contribute to media platforms frequented by digital creators, business professionals and freelancers – the people who stand to benefit the most from the gram’s unparalleled versatility to the unique showcase.

The event showcased two key areas: the LG gram highlight zone and the demonstration zone, where the spotlight shone on the key features of the 2024 lineup. Among them were the powerful gram Link, seamlessly integrated AI capabilities, energy-efficient performance and meticulously crafted lightweight designs, all tailored to elevate communication across diverse scenarios. Boasting a harmonious blend of power and portability, the LG gram series’ ultra-lightweight laptops combine high-end specifications with exceptionally slim yet durable designs and all-day battery life.

Guests were able to experience each laptop from the latest gram series, including LG gram, LG gram Pro, LG gram Pro 2-in-1 and LG gram Super Slim. The event was designed to allow them to immerse themselves fully in the exceptional usability of the product while receiving detailed explanations in person. What impressed them the most were the laptops’ outstanding portability, sleek styling and premium performance.

The devices on display left a lasting impression through their slim and lightweight designs, two aspects that have become synonymous with the LG gram brand. The hands-on experience with the touch display and Stylus pen of the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 convertible laptop, as well as features like LG gram Link and LG Glance by Mira-metrix, were particularly well received by event-goers.

It was the perfect opportunity to reveal something LG Taiwan has been working on for some time – a collaboration with ‘boven Magazine Library,’ the only magazine library in Taiwan, to launch the “LG gram x boven Pop-up Store” which will run from April to June this year. As part of this joining of forces, limited edition collaborative gifts will be given out at boven Magazine Library branches in Taipei and Tainan, where visitors can also witness the latest LG gram offerings.

Users can set key parameters, such as region, price and ad types, and LG DOOH Ads will automatically select suitable advertisements for display. This reduces the need for businesses to find and secure advertisers themselves. In addition, LG’s advertising solution gives users the flexibility to display ads that they have sourced independently. What’s more, LG DOOH Ads uses advanced AI camera technology to analyze viewers’ data such as gender, age and behavior, delivering customized advertisements based on viewer behavior. It also provides analysis reports on the expected effectiveness of these ads.*
      LG Business Cloud also introduces LG Pro:Centric Stay, a new solution created specifically for short-term rental businesses. LG Pro:Centric Stay complements the existing lineup of software solutions available on the platform, including the LG SuperSign Cloud digital signage content management system, LG Pro:Centric Cloud for hotel TVs and LG ConnectedCare.       Worldwide, LG continues to support major B2B clients with its seamlessly integrated signage software solutions. Mexico-based hospitality company, Grand Velas, employs LG Pro:Centric Cloud, a solution designed expressly for LG Hotel TVs. LG Pro:Centric Cloud simplifies content management and enhances the guest experience, allowing operators to provide personalized information – such as targeted discount offers for honeymooners or shuttle departure times for tour groups – to each room.
      A prominent Spanish telecommunications provider and a well-known U.S. fast-food franchise have embraced LG ConnectedCare, a solution that delivers convenient and intuitive remote display management. Significantly improving operational efficiency, LG’s solution reduces the need to individually adjust each display and enables proactive issue resolution, providing timely email alerts to system managers in the event that a screen error is detected.

      SEOUL, Jan. 6, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) unveiled its new audio product line of Bluetooth speakers and earbuds at CES 2025, created in partnership with multi-platinum musician and tech entrepreneur, will.i.am. This marks the debut of the “xboom by will.i.am” line, following the partnership announcement in early December.
      LG recently appointed will.i.am as the “Experiential Architect” of the LG xboom brand, aiming to establish it as a culture-forward brand that elevates the listening experience to new heights through completely new sound and design values. All “xboom by will.i.am” audio products are professionally tuned by will.i.am, delivering the xboom signature sound – characterized by a more balanced audio profile with warmer tones. The product design is playfully compact and embodies will.i.am’s creative artistry that stems from his life-long experience in pop culture. Leveraging both his extensive experience in understanding what people love and developing technology for creatives, will.i.am fundamentally inspires xboom’s product development, design and brand marketing.
      The “xboom by will.i.am” line boasts a family of smart Bluetooth speakers – the xboom Bounce, Grab and Stage 301 – all fortified with seamless AI capabilities for a next-level listening experience. The xboom speakers conduct AI analysis on the content being played to automatically adjust AI Sound, switching to sound options that accentuate the melody, rhythm, or voice. The AI Lighting feature keeps the speakers’ bar lights pulsing in multicolored sync for added ambiance.       Consolidating IVI and ADAS Systems in a Single Chip, LG’s Next-gen Controller
      Sets a New Standard for the Mobility Experience

      SEOUL, Jan. 3, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG), working with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., will introduce the groundbreaking Cross Domain Controller (xDC) platform for vehicles at CES 2025. Based on Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Ride Flex System-on-Chip (SoC),* which pre-integrates Snapdragon Ride automated driving stack and computer vision, this cutting-edge solution incorporates LG’s In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) System and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) into a single controller. The xDC platform is set to redefine vehicle performance and elevate the mobility experience.
      Due to the increasing complexity of modern vehicles, the need for a central computer that can efficiently manage diverse functionalities has become paramount. The Flex SoC addresses this need, presenting a single SoC with pre-integrated ADAS, automated driving capabilities and an open platform offering support for digital cockpit and IVI. By utilizing Qualcomm Technologies’ flexible, multifunctional chipset, LG’s xDC platform is able to rapidly process data from IVI and ADAS systems concurrently, enhancing the overall driving experience. Along with providing a more efficient mobility experience, this single-SoC innovation reduces component costs. The xDC platform also delivers the proactive assistance of “ADAS confidence view,” which combines 3D and 2D graphics to help drivers maintain focus on the road.
      The platform enables drivers and front seat passengers to easily and intuitively access a wide range of information through the vehicle’s main display. This includes critical ADAS alerts, such as distance to the vehicle ahead and lane departure warnings, as well as alternative routes based on real-time traffic conditions. The system can even provide useful lifestyle information, such as promotions from frequently visited stores, to make each journey more enjoyable.
      A highly-capable “all-in-one” system that can simultaneously handle multiple vehicle functions, such as navigation, safety systems and ADAS features, the new xDC is the result of close cooperation between LG and Qualcomm Technologies. The Flex SoC, which has obtained Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL)-D certification – an international safety standard – contributes significantly to xDC’s ability to deliver reliable support for critical in-vehicle functions.
      At CES 2025, taking place in Las Vegas from January 7-10, LG and Qualcomm Technologies will demonstrate the xDC platform in their respective private showcases. Establishing a new standard for integrated IVI and ADAS systems, the xDC platform efficiently manages and controls complex system functions and is expected to play a pivotal role in the coming software-defined vehicle era.
      Looking ahead, the two companies aim to strengthen their leadership in the IVI and ADAS sectors by developing tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of auto manufacturers.
