SEOUL, June 24, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is launching its latest LG CLOi ServeBot (model LDLIM31), an autonomous, door-type service robot designed to provide safe delivery services in hospitality and healthcare settings. Featuring a four-door design with ample interior storage space, the CLOi ServeBot can perform simple and repetitive delivery tasks to reduce the burden on busy staff.

This introduction further strengthens LG’s portfolio of advanced AI robots and robot control solutions, aligning with the company’s plans to accelerate the expansion of its B2B business, particularly in the delivery and logistics services sector. The CLOi ServeBot was first released in South Korea, with upcoming launches scheduled in key markets across North America and Asia. For more details, please visit

The door-type CLOi ServeBot has gained international recognition for its innovative and convenient design, earning honors at the Red Dot Design Award 2024 and the iF Design Award 2024. Boasting four internal compartments, each capable of holding items weighing up to 30kg, this new model is able to make multiple deliveries or collections. Its generous and secure cargo space can comfortably accommodate as many as 32 standard-sized coffee cups,* while its shelving can be easily adjusted according to item- or load-size.

Tailored for indoor hospitality and healthcare environments, the LG CLOi ServeBot is capable of utilizing elevators to move between floors. Its six wheels, each with independent suspension, provide excellent stability, enabling the CLOi ServeBot to transport beverages over uneven surfaces without any significant spillage. For added user convenience, the CLOi ServeBot’s doors can be set to open or close automatically during operation. The LG CLOi ServeBot can even tell when a delivery has been completed, as camera sensors built into its internal compartments detect when items have been removed. And thanks to an AI algorithm, the new model can safely navigate around obstacles, determine the optimal route to its destination(s), and communicate with up to 20 other CLOi ServeBots to maximize task efficiency and avoid potential collisions.

A front-facing 10.1-inch display on the CLOi ServeBot functions as a mobile advertising platform, with content easily uploaded via the LG CLOi Station (accessible through mobile or web) or the CMS mobile app. Furthermore, LG’s latest CLOi solution can escort customers to a given destination and provide voice guidance for visually impaired users. Additionally, users can monitor the robot’s status in real time using the LG CLOi Station, which also offers convenient paging and scheduling functions.

“LG’s latest service robot employs advanced platform technologies covering AI, communications and control, to help streamline operations in hospitality and healthcare settings,” said Roh Kyu-chan, vice president and head of the robot business division of LG Business Solutions Company. “Leveraging our capabilities and expertise in robot solutions, we will continue to deliver innovative LG CLOi ServeBot models to meet the specific needs of diverse sectors.”

With years of robotics industry experience, LG continues to provide versatile robot solutions for various environments, including airports, hotels, hospitals and warehouses. The company is now developing a comprehensive suite of solutions to efficiently manage the entire distribution process, from supplying robots to facilitating the last-mile delivery of ordered products.

A collaboration between LG and the Paris-based Korean Cultural Center, and themed “Life’s Good, Let’s Play,” the unique event offered young Parisians a chance to experience the best of ‘K-culture’ alongside LG’s latest lifestyle innovations.
The two-day event explored Korea’s rich gaming history, providing insight into its past and present, and a glimpse into its exciting future. Visitors were able to take advantage of several interactive activities, such as playing online games on LG’s UltraGear gaming monitors, receiving coaching from top gamers, and playing traditional Korean games (including the Honeycomb Challenge) that have become well-known internationally thanks to the Korean Wave.
Due in no small part to the participation of popular Korean gaming influencers, Life’s Good, Let’s Play attracted a significant number of visitors, reaching around two thousand attendees. The event kicked off with a conference hosted by Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong, a League of Legends Worlds 2017 champion and gaming content creator, who shared insights on Korean e-sports. The highlight of the second day was a match between an all-star team of former Korean professional gamers and Karmine Corp, a French e-sports team in partnership with LG. The event also featured a variety of entertaining activities, such as photo zones with backgrounds displaying iconic Korean scenes, including the majestic Gwanghwamun (the largest gate of Seoul’s Gyeongbok Palace) and the picturesque streets of the country’s historic Hanok villages. Additionally, visitors got to enjoy the distinctive smells and flavors of Korean street food, providing them with a special, senses-pleasing experience that captured the joy-of-living and bold optimism encapsulated by LG’s ‘Life’s Good’ brand slogan.
Prior to the Espot Paris event, LG participated in ‘Noli: jeux coréens’ (Noli: Game of Korea), a special exhibition run by the Korean Cultural Center in France from May 24 to October 5. Held under the theme of ‘Korea, the history of world e-sports leaders,’ the exhibition introduced visitors to the evolution of e-sports in South Korea and included a video covering Gen.G, the highly-successful e-sports team sponsored by LG.
LG plans to solidify its position as a premium brand in Europe’s rapidly-growing gaming market through continuous communication and engagement with young customers. According to market research firm Future Market Insights, the gaming monitor market in Western European is expected to grow at an average annual rate of approximately six percent, reaching an estimated value of around USD 1.16 billion by 2033.*
“This event presented us with a wonderful opportunity to share our love of K-culture and to connect with the younger generations; a consumer group whose influence is steadily growing in France and all across Europe,” said Heaven Lee, executive vice president and Europe Region Representative of LG Electronics. “We will continue to enhance LG’s brand image as part of our long-term strategy to secure sustainable future growth.”

New LG NOVA Digital Health Venture Aims to
Enable Providers to Offer Patients Personalized Home Care

SEOUL, May 14, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled “Primefocus Health,” a new venture that aims to leverage innovative technologies and new healthcare therapies to enable providers to deliver a personalized, complete care experience and empower individuals to take control of their health at home.
link hidden, please login to view is the first new venture launched by LG NOVA, LG Electronics North America Innovation Center. This new provider-focused, patient-centric healthcare platform intends to give patients access to new healthcare therapies made available by innovative technology applications, as well as providers access to patient data and progress information to help ensure that their patients are on the right path to better health.
Healthcare providers are under pressure to improve patient care and reduce readmissions and patient and provider costs. However, according to the National Institutes of Health, more than USD 52.4 billion is spent annually to care for patients who were readmitted to the hospital within 30 days for a previously treated condition.
To help reduce these costs and enable better personalized care, Primefocus Health plans to develop a remote monitoring and healthcare delivery platform, using innovative non-invasive technology for tracking patient progress for multiple medical conditions, which can be integrated with the provider’s electronic health record system, artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities for ease of use. The platform aims to empower healthcare providers to effectively manage outcomes, assist, guide, communicate and intervene when needed to deliver quality care.
“LG Electronics has a longstanding, trusted reputation with consumers in homes worldwide, and in unveiling Primefocus Health we are seeking to build on that history as we ask consumers to trust us, in collaboration with their providers, with their healthcare management as well,” said Darren Sabo, CEO of Primefocus Health. “Primefocus Health is committed to leveraging the latest technology to revolutionize patient care at home, leading toward a future of personalized, accessible, and effective care.”
As an LG NOVA-backed company, Primefocus Health brings the high-quality, innovative experience of the LG brand to healthcare. For providers, the Primefocus Health platform will be designed to enable them to extend their care beyond the hospital to the home with the objective of reducing the strain on the provider to keep their patients healthy.
“LG NOVA is dedicated to building businesses that drive positive change and enhance people’s lives,” said Sokwoo Rhee, executive vice president of innovation at LG Electronics and head of LG NOVA. “We recognize that technology can play a key role in the transformation of patient care and the healthcare industry at large, and we are committed to leading that charge with Primefocus Health. We look forward to seeing its impact on transforming home healthcare for patients and providers alike.”
