SEOUL, Sep. 4, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) is excited to announce that its newest LG gram laptop featuring the Intel® Core™ Ultra processor (Series 2) will be showcased at the Intel Core Ultra Global Launch Event from September 3-8. Renowned for its powerful performance and ultra-lightweight design, the LG gram series now integrates advanced AI capabilities powered by the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processor. The LG gram 16 Pro, the first model to feature these new Intel processors, will be unveiled before its release at the end of 2024.

As the first on-device AI laptop from the LG gram series, it offers up to an impressive 48 neural processing unit (NPU) tera operations per second (TOPS), setting a new standard for AI PCs and providing the exceptional performance required for Copilot experiences.* Powered by the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processor, the LG gram 16 Pro is now more efficient thanks to advanced AI functionalities such as productivity assistants, text and image creation and collaboration tools. What’s more, its extended battery life helps users handle tasks without worry.

The Intel® Core™ Ultra processor (Series 2) AI processor, which is three times more powerful than its predecessor, enhances a PC’s AI performance dramatically. With up to 48 NPU TOPS and up to 67 GPU TOPS, this next-gen processor offers up to 120 total platform TOPS to unlock new levels of productivity while maximizing user convenience. The new LG gram offers a smoother user experience, since the Intel® Core™ Ultra processor is optimized for Windows PCs.

“Together with LG, we are bringing to market the next generation of AI PCs that offer incredible performance, power efficiency and security capabilities for consumers. The LG gram 16 is a great example of an ultra-lightweight AI PC, powered by the all-new Intel® Core™ Ultra processor, that delivers an outstanding and seamless experience for creators, working professionals and everyday users. We’re thrilled for people to experience the wide-ranging benefits these AI PCs can enable,” said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel executive vice president and general manager, Client Computing Group.

“Building on LG gram’s renowned ultra-lightweight design and powerful functionality, our newest model integrates Intel’s exceptional AI technology to push the boundaries of on-device AI laptops,” said YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Business Solutions Company. “The enhanced performance and productivity offered by the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra processor is poised to enrich the LG gram user experience with AI, ushering in a new era of on-device AI laptops.”

In line with the company’s AI vision of “Affectionate Intelligence,” an approach that seeks to understand customer needs and deliver differentiated experiences that go beyond traditional AI, LG plans to add more AI processor models to its gram lineup following the introduction of the LG gram 16 Pro with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors (Series 2).

      Hello!

      Newbie here!

I have an LG OLED65B7A. It works well enough connected via ethernet cable to my network.

I want to use my LG OLED65B7A as another monitor to my laptop.

I know this can be done using some kind of wireless technology, Miracast, etc.
But do I need to have my LG OLED65B7A connected to my WiFi to set this up?

However, my LG OLED65B7A will not connect to my WiFi even though the WiFi router is just 3 feet away !
I know the WiFi is good: I have several pc's and my cellphone connected.

There is a "SCREEN SHARE" (Miracast) option in the LG OLED65B7A, but when
I select it (using the LG's remote and pressing the input button) this message
      pops up:
"The device cannot be connect to your TV.
Please try again. If the issue persists, please restart you TV or
      check your device."
So I'm taking this to mean that my pc laptop cannot connect to my LG OLED65B7A ?

More: when I go to the full display of options in the OLED65B7A, and go down to Network,
it tells me the Wi-Fi Connection is "Not Connected.  When I then go into the Wi-Fi
      Connection, it tells me,
"Wi-Fi is turned off. Turn it on to see the list of available networks that you can
connect to and additional related menu items."
Again, I know the WiFi is good: I have several pc's and my cellphone connected
to it and they work perfectly.
I've tried manually entering the SSID of my WiFi: the OLED65B7A will not see it, & will not connect.

      Any hints?

      What am I missing?

I have previously used an HDMI cable from my laptop into an HDMI port
of the OLED65B7A and this works for me to use the TV as a giant monitor
      for my pc laptop.

Must I disconnect the wired connection first to get the OLED65B7A connected to WiFi ?

      Any suggestions much appreciated!

Across the world, the workplace has been undergoing a major transformation with more and more professionals choosing to work remotely each passing year. In 2020, before the onset of the global pandemic, 13 percent of the entire workforce worked from home. In 2023, that number had risen to a remarkable 27 percent, leading to the laptop market’s steady growth and an expected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.0 percent in 2024. Laptop consumption is expected to continue on this strong trajectory in the coming years.*

To reinforce its foothold in this vital market, LG Taiwan recently held the LG gram 2024 Series Launch Event at Zhuori Coffee Shop in Taipei. The event, which was presented in the form of a light teatime talk session, invited journalists and editors, especially those who contribute to media platforms frequented by digital creators, business professionals and freelancers – the people who stand to benefit the most from the gram’s unparalleled versatility to the unique showcase.

The event showcased two key areas: the LG gram highlight zone and the demonstration zone, where the spotlight shone on the key features of the 2024 lineup. Among them were the powerful gram Link, seamlessly integrated AI capabilities, energy-efficient performance and meticulously crafted lightweight designs, all tailored to elevate communication across diverse scenarios. Boasting a harmonious blend of power and portability, the LG gram series’ ultra-lightweight laptops combine high-end specifications with exceptionally slim yet durable designs and all-day battery life.

Guests were able to experience each laptop from the latest gram series, including LG gram, LG gram Pro, LG gram Pro 2-in-1 and LG gram Super Slim. The event was designed to allow them to immerse themselves fully in the exceptional usability of the product while receiving detailed explanations in person. What impressed them the most were the laptops’ outstanding portability, sleek styling and premium performance.

The devices on display left a lasting impression through their slim and lightweight designs, two aspects that have become synonymous with the LG gram brand. The hands-on experience with the touch display and Stylus pen of the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 convertible laptop, as well as features like LG gram Link and LG Glance by Mira-metrix, were particularly well received by event-goers.

It was the perfect opportunity to reveal something LG Taiwan has been working on for some time – a collaboration with ‘boven Magazine Library,’ the only magazine library in Taiwan, to launch the “LG gram x boven Pop-up Store” which will run from April to June this year. As part of this joining of forces, limited edition collaborative gifts will be given out at boven Magazine Library branches in Taipei and Tainan, where visitors can also witness the latest LG gram offerings.

The laptop which has been on sale from the LG online shop has been advertised as a 2TB hard drive - seems there is a mistake on the web page and it's only 1TB - which was strikingly obvious when mine arrived. Seems LG hadn't spotted the cock up. 1hr45 on the phone to customer support and still not resolved

I love the Always Ready feature on my LG C3. I've configured it to include the beautiful wallpaper options and it works great with the LG remote.
However, I use a Chromecast remote to control my TV and my Chromecast together. I've configured the Chromecast power button to control the TV's power. Unfortunately, the Chromecast remote's power button turns the TV off instead of switching it to Always Ready mode.
LG support agent told me the Chromecast remote is "probably not fully compatible" with the feature.
Does anyone here have a solution?
If not, it would be great if someone from LG put this in as a feature request.
