ndabar Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hi guys, What are the compatible models? Only the TVs from 2014? I have the model 47LA620, will it be included? or could I install/run webOS? Many thanks Nacho Quote
0 Alex Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Its up in the air right now until they get released. I would imagine only new tvs. This is not official word, since we are not LG, just a webos entusiast forum. I'm waiting as is everyone else! Quote
0 SilentLexx Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I have 42LA620V and recived today a message: "AN IMPORTANT UPDATE IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR TV LG works hard to ensure that the features and technology on your Smart TV are up-to-date. An important update to the Terms & Conditions and options will soon become available for your TV after the end of February in 2014.Please see the FAQ at [www.lgappstv.com] for more information. We encourage you to take the easy steps to update your TV when notified: Go to your Settings menu, select Support, then Software Update." May be it's update to WebOS ?! Quote
0 needz Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 The same message appeared on 42LM760T (2012), so don't expect anything like that I think it's just updated terms and agreement. Quote

0 needz Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Similarly incapable of running WebOS, yes Quote
0 SilentLexx Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Similarly incapable of running WebOS, yes I have a friend from LG QA, he tested WebOS on "unknown" hardware... It' hardware looked like a 6-series of 2013 year (I seen photo)... But he says what update for older TV he don't tested and nothing heard about that Quote
0 SilentLexx Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I found a photo. I was wrong, it's not look like a 6th series: Quote
0 SilentLexx Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 IMHO: But if LG wants to sell more apps, it must ported new platform to old devices Quote
0 needz Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 The apps will be more or less compatible, because it's just Javascript+HTML.. as it's now. Quote
0 Alex Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I wonder if old non webos TVs and new webos TVs access the same apps on the same catalogs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote

0 ndabar Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Exactly let's see what happen!! All TVs are similar in appearance but they are running different OS. webOS is linux-based operanting system, I would like to think that ours TVs can run this OS but... that means to reinstall the system! Could you install Android OS in an iPhone? Quote
