zeljko, don't panic,

That version I had few hours ago, but I wasn't able to update to 5.0.

After I changed to South Africa I was able to update to 04.65.05

Because official firmware version for your region is 04.42.25.

People doing unnecessary confusion in this topic and others going crazy. We have to wait for our turn.  ;)

Hi , are most people doing a factory reset after updating firmware , I may have to do one anyway  as I have lost my screen control panel for the universal remote but im still waiting for the release of official firmware here .

Darn, I was about to suggest you give it a go then report back :-)

I did try, changed to Aus in both fields but no update then I chickened out and reverted to NZ.

Another thing I found when messing with the location settings , if I set mine to Aus for broadcast I get the full functionality of the universal screen remote and I can control my SKY box and Blu ray with the magic remote , but if I switch it back to NZ I dont . Hope they change that in the new firmware .

Hi all

I have now tested the 5.00.04 version, and are sad to say that the  ARC/HDMI error has been reproduced after only 45 min.

I really hope it will  be fixed in a later version. But i have to wait for the FW to be released in Denmark, before i can contact LG support. They fixed it once before and maby i'll have luck once more to make em fix it again. Maby i'll downgrade or buy an optical cabel.

Hey Demonrider, I also use ARC to my receiver and have never had this error, Are you 100% it is a FW issue? I would assume you have tried all the basic troubleshooting if you have contacted LG before. Let me know if there is a way to replicate the issue and I can try it on my end.

I can take the firmware 5:00:04 to my lg 70lb650v without getting any problems because I live in Sweden .

Version 05.00.04 is no better then 05.00.01. Neither works better then 04.45.25 for my tv. Still slow response and other issues are not fixed.

turbozob, you mean 05.10.01 not 05.00.01, I suppose. 05.00.04 is worse than 05.10.01/05.10.02 IMO.

Not if you wanted multi channel audio from arc.

Yes, but if not, I'm more happy with 05.10.xx. I hope this is not final version prepared for 21SEP2015.

I have installed 05.00.04  from the LG support site here in NZ .Some things appear to be a bit quicker ie input changes but the advanced menu seems to be a bit slower if anything . I have had one memory error while using the web browser but not when using any other apps. I'm guessing this might be the final version as it has been released on there support site but not sure .

      Hey guys !!!
I have a UHD UJ634v  LG webos Tv  that lately an error message pops on the screen staying : Tv signal has been lost due to the satellite LNB short.Check LNB connection"
This is really getting on my nerves because I can't get any signal even after resetting the TV or even updating to the last  software version.
I check my cable line and fixed every possible problem. The error message keeps showing up even after disconnecting cable line from the back of TV just as if a short circuit or something has happened inside the Tv.
Do you think that'd be software or hardware failure or something else??? How to fix it?
Please help me out with this cuz all my lovely satellite TV channels are gone 😐
Here is the actual error message on the right top o the screen
      Thanks in advance !!!

If you connect to any HDMI device it taking long time to switch back to normal TV mode some time it requied to switch off an switch on.
This is dumb OS. I should have check before buying it. Please any one has answer to make it fast ?
Is it is possible to change OS if I dont want to use WebOS ?

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a

Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.
