Yep me to, had happened about 3 times today. It switches over to TV speakers.

I downloaded 05.00.30 for LG 55ec930v and will install soon:

starfish-dvb-secured-m14tv-25.ashley.m14tv-2510-05.00.30-prodkey_usb.oled_V3_SECURED.epk

I'll post any changes I can find.

Yeah the HDMI1 pops up randomly for no reason , I have all my gear plugged into the tv and the sound via ARC / HDMI1 . Have done a reset but I think this is another firmware stuff up.

05.00.30 : Ziggo on demand via Quantis CI+ module is working again but I seem to have the HDMI/ARC problem as well. While listening to the external speakers the TV switches back to TV speaker as well after some time :(

Posted

The only thing I have connected to the amp apart from the ARC connection is my Chromecast , I am thinking the sound might be disconnecting when the Chromecast  goes into standby , I have unplugged it to test .

I have a Raspberry Pi 2 connected and during television watching after some time also a pop-up came in the screen as if I just connected the RPi2. It looks like some sort of HDMI reset after some time.

My TV just auto updated to 05.00.35 - I've got the HDMI/ARC issue too. Every 20 minutes or so the sound changes from ARC to TV Speakers by itself and maybe once an hour or so a HDMI input will pop up as if I've just plugged it in.

The solution I use (if you use a Harmony remote) is I programmed a button to turn simplink off then on again which fixes the issue for a while.

Seems to be a pattern here ,LG fix one thing and break another . Do you program a sequence of buttons to turn on simplink ? I have been going to menu and changing the speaker out setting , its painful , I have had a moan to LG about it .

Yeah I just set up a macro, one button press turns off simplink then turns it straight back on.

I have the Harmony 650 and found that it has a simplink button setup so if you push once it displays simplink off on the TV and push again and it turns on so I havnt had to set up a macro ,

From the Dutch (nl) LG support website I downloaded 05.00.40. Will let know if this hdmi/ARC problem is solved.

Hi what model is your set and did you have 05.00.35?

I cant remember how many updates my TV has had since I purchased but the simplink /arc has been rock solid until this update and now I am having sound drop outs and HDMI pop ups constantly . Spoke to LG and they are planning to get back to me today .

This is just amazing how bad those guys from LG R&D are. I mean, it's a fu*king TV, not an international space station. How many functions are there that you can't make them work all at once? A 50€ media player running Kodi has 100x more capabilities and works 100x better then 2.000€ LG TV.

Hi Shayne , Have you reported this to LG , I have here in NZ and they said they would follow it up with LG Australia .

I got tired of LG appstore and few apps there so I bought a new apple tv and it work great with simplink. LG WEBOS and appstore is a joke. Great potential but lack of instrest from LG to make it great. 55ec930v has great pictire quality but otherwise joke for a TV. Externel box and tv just got new life.

Hello all,

04.00.40 - UK - 49UF850V

Is that the latest firmware for my TV? LG website states 03.20.05 and does not list 04.00.40.

Also does anyone know when the UK is getting the update to integrate Freesat HD into these TV as per:

Yes! It's latest stable firmware!

I'm not able to answer other question sorry! Link you posted says: "404 page not found!" But my tv is able to view free Sat hd channel on hotbird signal!

All. This topic is for 2014 models only. Do not install any update on 2015 models as this can cause troubles. Your TV might be death after update with wrong FW..

Merry Christmas!!!

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a

Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.
