V 05.00.35

Australia

Having the same issues with the ARC dropping out.

Contacted LG and they are F***ing hopeless.

They want me to pay for a tech to come out to test the hardware.

But I don't think there is any problem with that.

And will not admit there is a fault in software.

Does any one know if .55 will work in Australia?

Or when LG plan to put out a Update?

Cheers

Hey mate,

I'm in the exact same boat. Countless messages to LG through their facebook and emails/calls to support - they're absolutely hopeless. They also wanted me to pay for a tech visit, when this is obviously a software issue.

I don't understand how this wasn't patched within a week worldwide...

LG Australia is now sending a service tech to my place (at their cost) to install the latest firmware off a USB stick... Ridiculous, haha. But at least it should fix it.

Got the OTA for the LB6500, anyone got a direct link to the Canadian firmware? I would like to keep it on hand in case I need to downgrade in the future.

I have auto update disabled since 4.xx but with every update i get the NUF/NFU message on the screen and it still updates which is annoying to say the least as I would have stayed on 05.00.15.

5.00.55 update works pretty well on 930v but "app memory error messages" are back. Little bit pissed of because I thought that LG get rid of that in near past, but now it appeas again.

It should not be that hard to get sofware to work propery on year 2016. Recent FWs was not affected memeory issues.

I am a week on 05.00.55 with a 930v and I have had no app memory issues so far. Maybe it is app specific? Browser?

Unfortunatelly, I can confirm bug "this app will close to free...bla bla bla.." will popup after ~3-4 hours youtube, netfilx, hdmi/live tv, and smartshare. Then you must reboot(off/on) tv for the next 3-4 hours of happiness

05.00.55  :(

I also found within a day or two of doing the 05.00.55 updated on my 55LB650V (here in Zealand) that the HDMI pop-up reappeared, to a worse degree - as soon as I closed it it would pop right back up - incredibly irritating.  At this point, I've found if I switch TV off, unplug it for 10-20 seconds then plug back in again it will not do this pop-up crap for a few hours.

This is certainly the last LG I will buy.

Since my update last week I've started getting "lack of bandwidth" messages when using Amazon Prime. At first it appeared to be one episode of Outlander, but it now displays when viewing other streamed shows !!!.

But I've reduced the number of "insufficient memory" glitches by deleting as many installed apps as possible (iPlayer, 5oD, Netflix, etc).

'Nice': with this new firmware (...55) i got massive 'connection lost' messages using smartshare dlna (42LB671). Streaming is becoming very annoying due to lost connections - grrrr! Wish i could downgrade to previous version. Yes i did reset to factory defaults...

Guys with network issues are you wired or wifi?

This most certainly is my last LG TV, you'd think a TV should just work without ARC or inputs crashing. If the tv can't do basic tasks whats the point of the TV?

Posted

Wired, using CAT6 cable at 1Gbit. All WiFi disabled on my 930V and not using the WWW app.

My BB service is 50Mb and generally performs at this speed both wired & wifi.

ps: LG admit that their "smart tv" is still in it's infancy, so still a bit dumb !!!. It does not have the computing  capacity to actually perform the advertised/claimed functions. Hence my decision to un-install ALL unused apps, leaving only Amazon Prime (currently) for streaming services. Prior to the .55 update it worked very well and significantly better than the Virgin Media TIVO streaming apps.

I generally stay away from first gen products and should have stayed away from the 2014 generation, but go t the TV for cheap. I do not believe these occur on the 2015 generation since they have proper hardware to accommodate the software.

My problems with 55 continue, this time it is mostly Plex - it seems that the .55 firmware has done something mysterious that now results in a Plex error every 20 minutes or so, to do with being unable to communicate with the PMS.  It worked fine before .55 (more or less), I don't know, the more these LG muppets play around the worse it actually appears they make things.  Has anyone else had a problem with PMS communication fails and how are you fixing it (if you are).

I feel like far too much of my life is being taken up searching forums for fixes on products that really should just work.  Its a little bit like my car, its become over complex, over computerised and overly expensive.  The modern world. Joy.

This sucks I am also in NZ and was going to install the link you posted  for 55 but may just stick with the 5,00.35 , I dont want Plex problems as well as sound drop outs . I see they have not released this yet online or for auto update .

55 seems to be okay, have yet to fully test switching between apps for crashing. This will be my last firmware upgrade, since I'm blocking LG on my router. I hate the fact it auto updates even if you tell it not to, 5.00.15 was the last working build and since I've had nothing but issue. I regret not keep a copy to downgrade to but will do with 5.00.55.

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a

Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.

hello sir can you provide gCMOB application for our Tv we have installed CCTV cameras and to access that we need a application called gCMOB
    • Solution For That Pollution
    • By Ramesh Chand Vishwakarma
It is unprofessional on part of LG TV that they do not resolve the basic issue of adding app gCmob in their app store.
My 50UT80506LA LG WebOs TV does not support my office security camera system via wifi to TV.  We need (gCmob app) in list of app.
I can't connect my office camera via Wi-Fi to LG-TV. No body in LG TV technical team is proactive in resolving the issue of customer. They are more happy to befool the customers, rather than looking for technical solution through wider thinking.
Please talk to you top management and make a visit to our office to understand the customers plight..
      Please respond to customers needs.
