Hi guys , my tv briefly showed an update was available but when i went into the settings later to check it said no update found , I was wondering if they pulled the update  , so mine is still on 5.00.55  65LB7500  NZ

Guys, skip the OTA update process (doesn´t work anyway), donwload ZIP from official server, unzip in folder LG_DTV on USB stick and do the update via USB. Safe and quick!

Btw, updated to 05.05.35 without problems. No changes visible or noticable.

Updated via USB to ver.05.05.35 (55EC930V). I noticed several small (insignificant) changes ...

But there is one bigger: ON TV AND ALL INPUTS COLORS SHIFTED TO RED (skin colors are unnatural orange!) on my calibrated OLED TV!!!

Still cannot start some instaled application (LG Store, YouTube, AccuWeather ... - issues that started with 05.05.01 update)!

After instaled 05.05.20 web app is slower then before (same with 05.05.35). Slow, slow, slow .. fuckin' sloooow!!! And web app restart from time-to-time (memory full).

Funny you mentioned that , I recall after a firmware update , cant remember what version my TV developed a red tint to everybody's faces , it took a lot of messing around to correct it . Factory reset did not help .

... and that's visible on all color/picture modes, no mather is it cinema, standard, eco, vivid ... or calibrated isf1 & isf2 mode.

I'm very disappointed with this "update". Ooh, if I could only go back to 05.00.55 (05.05.01 slightly improved picture quality, but some apps stopped working)

Well got a suprise this morning. My 42LB731 auto updated to the new 05.05.35 software. Forgot that I'd ticked the check box for auto update. Working as normal at the moment, no noticeable difference. No full reset as can not be bothered setting up again, probably will do one when I get the urge. Good on LG they're still looking after us 1st gen WebOs owners even though we don't see any significant changes.

Anyone in NZ using the latest software 5.05.25 , im a bit concerned about updating as have had issues in the past that didn't seem to affect other country's .

Pessoal,

Eu sou do Brasil e a versão disponibilizada oficialmente é a 05.00.55.

Today my lg 55uc970v is update to 5.05.55? Web os 3?

Acredito que não seja WebOS 3, mas pra ficar claro, acesse o menu de atualização. Nesta tela além de dar a opção de atualizar o sistema, tem as informações de sistema.

I think it's not WebOS 3, but to be clear, go to the update menu. In this screen besides giving the option to update the system, it has the system information.

For example, my TV is a 42LB6500 and the firmware version is 05.05.01 and the WebOS version of this firmware is 1.42. In other words, it is not even WebOS 2.0

My 47LB6500 updated yesterday to 05.05.25 from 05.05.01

For my surprise the LG launched a new update, the 05.05.25. How the 05.05.01 has too much bug, I'll not think twice and I'll upgrade right now.

Anyone having any negative experiences with this latest update . Someone mentioned color shift and apps not opening ,dont know if that is widespread or not .

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a

Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.
