The Verge has found an LG-sponsored website, since pulled, that promises a development kit for a webOS smartwatch is coming. Ironically, the reveal comes only a few months after LG lost two webOS designers to wearable rival Pebble.....

There is also a rumor going around that this was one of the plans before some of the developers left to go work at pebble. LG has not commented to say yes or no at this point. January will be CES 2015, maybe an unveiling?

LG will be a great Company, who challenges the future in the mobile market with the Great WEB OS !!

Greetings to all in this super LGWEBOS-Blog!

More and more trust WEB OS...I hope Apple is in many years only a niche player!

That would really be something! LG's success with webos relies heavily on how they go about making their ecosystem of apps. TVs, smart watches, appliances, and phones all tied in and working together could make quite an ecosystem and lead to addon sales for them. My suggestion would be to release a phone and tablet with an android app compatibility layer and tap into that ecosystem while they build theirs.

is reporting on the rumor of webOS powered smartwatches at CES next month. Translation via Google translate.

"A few weeks ago we reported on LG's may first standalone SmartWatch with a built-LTE module. Now the rumors that those will be operated with webOS.

In October, fueling rumors (we reported), the most likely made a webOS-powered SmartWatch. At the time, published LG accidentally a special page on your website, which was on webOS for smartwatches advertised. After a few minutes that was offline again. It had been an accidental release.

This fact makes with respect to the latest rumors lot of sense: Prefer LG to bring out an independent clock of smartphones, it must be simultaneously dispensed with Android Wear. Just like it did at the Samsung Gear S with Tizen, would also own operating system used. And that will be LG's webOS, which is already used on some televisions of the South Korean manufacturer is used.

Analysts expect the release of wearables in time for CES 2015 in early January in Las Vegas."

That doesn`t matter. The important thing is that WebOS is better than all other OS...The Rest is a question of time..

Apple for example will never get the worlds best OS for TV´s because LG has it already. An thats one of the greatest Problems the other Players in the Market have in future!

And now the market with the watches: Great WEBOS!

Laughable at best.  They can't even support their TV's that have WebOS.  I would never buy any of their products again.

Unfortunately this is the issue when you are an early adopter. I agree that it stinks. Maybe LG could at least speed up webOS 1.0 and add some tweaks. I'm not sure why they will not go backwards except that maybe they needed some kind of hardware tweaks for webOS 2.0.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?
