You must google 'smartshare' or download at this link(official link from lg) :

link hidden, please login to view

Install this on your laptop.

Connect your tv and your pc at same router/modem wireless

On your TV>Home >smartshare

just put the movies or photos in the public folder pc C: \ Users \ Public \ Videos \ Sample Videos make the folder accessible to the network, enter the SmartShare TV devices go, there we are well networked PC, open the folder and run on the tv the contents of the folder, even movies ih hd.not all video formats are played though. But a trick c 'is to see many extensions rejected. Just change the 'extension for example: title film.mkw in title film.avi and software stupid com' is read it. software read film.avi
As the limit of reading files the programmer has only tied to its extension, in fact ancestors reads it, because inside the software also has the decoding extensions excluded, the law.

otherwise make the whole folder pc public access to the network, and display on the TV all that you put into it. photo folder, folder, movies, etc., etc.

this can also be a way to watch movies that TV with the mess of browser that does not allow you to view, download them in that folder to then from there you can vederli.solo that you have to keep the PC on.
Unfortunately get a tv that should exclude the home PC for functions that tell you, but then t realize that absolutely does that for which you have bought, they sold just smoke and mirrors.
in hindsight it was better just a tv, hd receiver combo and separate PC connected on it.
we really had a complete multimedia station, we were screwed.

I am using the lg tv from 2 years and I found an amazing experience till now.
But I like request about Play box TV app. Please add this app in store section so that I could download it on my tv.
It would be helpful if you respond to my email. This app is very demanding now a days as it comes with the excitel broadband service.

Videos from certain websites are unable to play on browser after latest update to webOS 5.50.55. In the first image there should be a play icon on the video player

      Hello!

      Newbie here!

I have an LG OLED65B7A. It works well enough connected via ethernet cable to my network.

I want to use my LG OLED65B7A as another monitor to my laptop.

I know this can be done using some kind of wireless technology, Miracast, etc.
But do I need to have my LG OLED65B7A connected to my WiFi to set this up?

However, my LG OLED65B7A will not connect to my WiFi even though the WiFi router is just 3 feet away !
I know the WiFi is good: I have several pc's and my cellphone connected.

There is a "SCREEN SHARE" (Miracast) option in the LG OLED65B7A, but when
I select it (using the LG's remote and pressing the input button) this message
      pops up:
"The device cannot be connect to your TV.
Please try again. If the issue persists, please restart you TV or
      check your device."
So I'm taking this to mean that my pc laptop cannot connect to my LG OLED65B7A ?

More: when I go to the full display of options in the OLED65B7A, and go down to Network,
it tells me the Wi-Fi Connection is "Not Connected.  When I then go into the Wi-Fi
      Connection, it tells me,
"Wi-Fi is turned off. Turn it on to see the list of available networks that you can
connect to and additional related menu items."
Again, I know the WiFi is good: I have several pc's and my cellphone connected
to it and they work perfectly.
I've tried manually entering the SSID of my WiFi: the OLED65B7A will not see it, & will not connect.

      Any hints?

      What am I missing?

I have previously used an HDMI cable from my laptop into an HDMI port
of the OLED65B7A and this works for me to use the TV as a giant monitor
      for my pc laptop.

Must I disconnect the wired connection first to get the OLED65B7A connected to WiFi ?

      Any suggestions much appreciated!

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.
