Pdf reader for webos is necessary absolutely.

Finally found a way to read a pdf file on LG WebOS.

Upload your document to google drive  from your PC or mobile phone.

Then run the web browser at LG WebOS (TV).

Type the web address of Google Drive (

link hidden, please login to view

)

Then find your pdf document and click to open it. It is opened by Google Document Viewer automatically on yor TV.

You can read the PDF file by using the controls on the page. 

This is an indirect method really to read a PDF file on your TV,  but it is the only way that works for now

Any way to switch to android operating system?

without seeing the os, I have purchased this tv. They are smart. The TV or the consumer is not.

Sorry but you are stuck with webOS.

Fantastic idea. Would be great for people to then use this when teaching or doing PR.

This is not a forum from LG, Like it said on the top of the page, it is a forum of WebOS users on TV. There are no LG employees here.

If you need to switch to Android TV buy a Android TV box. You can buy them under 50 Euro's. Problem solved.

Other solution is to use a player like Plex and the Plex app on the TV, also a solution.
