This is missing something because no. 11 does nothing.

After Check For Updates from #10 you must accept first firmware TV installation by clicking Install at message prompt on the screen - this is #11.

I checked it one more time on my TV before creating this topic.

Please make sure that you everything did correctly.

BTW What is your TV model, webOS version and software?

Posted

1. Worked like a dream for me downgraded to 3.23.13

2. Rebboted now upgrading via manual update.

3. Upgraded to 4.30.16

4. Reboot and tv has found update via automatic update which is in progress

5. Udpate 5.00.04 installed

Straight forward and worked without issue.

Thank you Simon.

Are you sure? It's not working like that...

Yes. The TV searches for that file and then checks its content. Try it yourself, erase dump file, start batch files, check for update on tv and look into dump file for tv model. Delete the file which has the same name of your tv model and try to update, it should not work.

Thank you SIMON, you saved my 49UB850V, i used your tut to downgrade from 5.00.04, and worked like a charme

Nice to know that it works for others, though regretting that not for everyone will.

Maybe next update will be better for your TV. Meanwhile, thank you for your opinion and I wish you to make it happen.  ;)

Hi santosh, In Poland it is now ~ 3H00AM and I have to get some rest, but when I come back to life I will prepare an update to include TV models that are not available for now.  ;)

Is there any way I can get this work on my model ? I have tried so many things but it always says update not found.

Hi Simon.

LG New Zealand put an online update to 05.00.04 for my 84UB980-TA but it was a mistake according to them and now the EPG is not working. I tried your method but after accepting the update nothing happened. Could you please add the **UB980 series to the list so I can roll back to 04.62.50.

Thanks.

Unfortunately this method is not working for me either. I'm getting tons of "Out of memory" errors and everything is crashing after my TV did an auto update to 05.00.04. Can 70LB7100-UC model get added to this tool? Below is the infor from my TV. Appreciate the hard work!

I tried everything to downgrade, and still doesn't work. I have the LB6500, the brazilian equivalent to US LB6300. I tried the updater from Russian and Brazilian foruns, tried to edit the files myself, I have downloaded the last working firmware (04.65.05), but it never finds the update on the TV.

Is it normal to the startHTTP to close after 30s? I'm getting this error:

9mEYw3R.png

I'm also getting  lgtvonline.lge.com BR.lgtvsdp.com  + BR.info.lgsmartad.com from the from the startDNS, which I added to the AcrylicHosts.

I can use my TV with all the memory error since 05.00.04 update. :(

UPDATE: nevermind, I'm really really stupid! I was extracting the files to the desktop. I never thought it had to be on C:.

      Hey guys !!!
I have a UHD UJ634v  LG webos Tv  that lately an error message pops on the screen staying : Tv signal has been lost due to the satellite LNB short.Check LNB connection"
This is really getting on my nerves because I can't get any signal even after resetting the TV or even updating to the last  software version.
I check my cable line and fixed every possible problem. The error message keeps showing up even after disconnecting cable line from the back of TV just as if a short circuit or something has happened inside the Tv.
Do you think that'd be software or hardware failure or something else??? How to fix it?
Please help me out with this cuz all my lovely satellite TV channels are gone 😐
Here is the actual error message on the right top o the screen
      Thanks in advance !!!

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a

Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.
