Hello again guys. First, thank you for your thanks, it's very motivating. ;) Nice to see satisfied users, now we have to do something for the others. I could not do anything earlier, because I had problems with my network, but finally I updated LgDTVupdater and now you can download it and try to downgrade your firmware. I hope it goes well now. If not, we will try to do it individually. So let's try and please let me know about successes. Good luck.

Any way you can add HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA? Thanks in advance.

You tried to downgrade or just looking for HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA? Please try and let me know.

No success for me. I don't see HE_DTV_WT1H_AFAAATAA in the list

Again - You tried to downgrade or just looking for HE_DTV_WT1H_AFAAATAAI need to know you tried to do downgrade.

It actually worked, woohoo! I successfully downgraded to 3.23.32. Now how do I upgrade to 04.41.39? I created a USB drive with LG_DTV folder and the starfish-atsc-secured-m14tv-32.arches-3239-04.41.39-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk file in it. But when I insert in the TV, only SmartShare message pops up, no update. Thanks for any more info!

It says No update was found.

Okay still working on it.

Good. Try to update by OTA, them do it with USB.

OTA says "No update found". USB does not pop up to update, just SmartShare opens. I tried all 3 USB ports. Any way to set your updater to point to 04.41.39 instead of 03.23.24? Thanks!

I have the file for the first software released for my TV. It is version 3.23.06. I use to be able to downgrade using power only mode but they disabled it with this new software

I do not understand. Where you have this file and what is its name?

Just try and let us know. This knowledge also we need. I have only one TV model, you have to help me somehow.

I did try, see post #38. Everything works but when it says its updating nothing happens. Thanks.

Maybe the problem is with NZ ISP? Should I try using a VPN?

Oh, sorry, you right. It is not ISP problem. I think it's your TV series 9xxx problem.

I read trough your script and I see that it forces HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA model to install firmware for HE_DTV_NC4M_AFAAABAA instead. Would that create any issues for getting back to stock firmware/OTA updates?

I am currently stuck on 3.23. and CEC is not working for my STB or any of my other components. I really need to get back on 04.41.39, which was the last version for my 70LB7100-UC TV before 5.00.04. I am unable to update via USB as I belive the firmware (starfish-atsc-secured-m14tv-32.arches-3239-04.41.39-prodkey_usb_V3_SECURED.epk) doesn't work because my TV thinks that it is HE_DTV_NC4M_AFAAABAA now. Nothing happens when I insert the USB drive and OTA does not find any updates either. How do I make my TV become the correct model HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA again? Or which 04.41.39 firmware do I need to download/install that is compatible?

Thanks for your help!

To answer my own questions :), I was able to create an answer file and point the TV to a file that was server locally on my computer. It successfully upgraded to 04.41.39, wchich I got from the LG support site for my TV. Then I did an OTA update to 04.45.x and everything is back to stock. The model is HE_DTV_WT1M_AFAAATAA again, which is the right one. Thanks for the great tool Simon!! It makes upgrades and downgrades a breeze.

Hi thanks for the great work on this.

When i tried to update my 50LB650 TV using my desktop PC it wouldn't work, when I tried using my laptop it worked great. I think it was because the desktop PC has Windows 10 and the laptop windows 7.

Thanks again

I tried both win 7 and 10 and same thing happens, after accepting update nothing happens, it just says 'updating'.

Q. How long after accepting update do you wait?..and when do you restart the TV?

Posted

Just noticed in the 'tv series' folder in the updater all the files show 'AU' Australia but no 'NZ' New Zealand.

I'm wondering if I changed the TV location to Australia and then tried?

Simon, I try to downgrade from 05.00.04 to 04.55.40 but nothing happened in step "11".

No downgrade message!!!

I used HE_DTV_WT1H_AFAAABAA online and local version.

Model : LG55UC970.

It's  other way to downgrade the TV?

My issues with this update is restart of TV due to '' free memory app......"

Thank you.

      Hey guys !!!
I have a UHD UJ634v  LG webos Tv  that lately an error message pops on the screen staying : Tv signal has been lost due to the satellite LNB short.Check LNB connection"
This is really getting on my nerves because I can't get any signal even after resetting the TV or even updating to the last  software version.
I check my cable line and fixed every possible problem. The error message keeps showing up even after disconnecting cable line from the back of TV just as if a short circuit or something has happened inside the Tv.
Do you think that'd be software or hardware failure or something else??? How to fix it?
Please help me out with this cuz all my lovely satellite TV channels are gone 😐
Here is the actual error message on the right top o the screen
      Thanks in advance !!!

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a

Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.
