dudelange Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I would like to be able to mount NFS shares (and possibly SAMBA/Windows shares, but these would be too slow to play HD videos ...) so that I can play videos directly without depending on a DLNA server. This is because the DLNA implemented by LG WebOS is still too primitive and does not allow to play x265 videos. 1 Quote
genom Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Here is a problem with such companies... They offer products as if they are smart and you can do many things with them. But it turns out to be they are as dumb as mainstream users look for. I think I will write a blog and distribute it how LG smart TVs are not smart at all. Quote
Aido Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I too would like to mount NFS shares on LG WebOS. Is there a solution to this? Quote
George Hofmeister Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 If you are running a SAMBA share you have Linux, my suggestion would be Plex. 1 Quote
lgwebosi Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I second the wish to be able to mount shares - would be great indeed. Quote
Pbac Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 I just bought the oled55b9pla and found that my nfs share was inaccessible! With my Sony I bought in 2008 nfs was not a problem at all. I never thought this could be an issue in 2019 with a SMART TV. Not so smart after all. Quote
Pbac Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 No success with NFS on my oled55b9. So I solved the problem by using DLNA. I installed minidlna packet on my Debian/Jessie and now I can share my music/video/image without problem. I just regret that the FLAC files (music) are not compatible with webos4.5 Maybe this can help other people. Quote
