How to Install Google Play on webOS (not Google Play Movies and TV)

Hi guys,

 

I have received my LG TV with webOS 3.0 today.

 

I am looking to install a few Apps available on Google Play, however, it seems Google Play is not installed on the webOS software pre-installed. I can only find Google Play Movies and TV, which does not allow me to install 3rd party Apps.

 

Is there a way to install Google Play app and 3rd party apps ?

WebOS is not Android, and you cannot install neither Google Play nor Android applications.

with all my respect mate, you're a newbie here, and if you see the discussions, there are many using other applications.

 

I would appreciate any answers or pointers on how to do it from experts here !

Nemilose's answer is spot on though... There are apps for webos you can install and use from lg store, but webos is 100% incompatible to Android. Forget it.

You go to the LG store app and install whatever is available. I´ve read that is might be possible to install own apps via USB by creating an .IPK filebut I´ve never done that. Google it.

Currently you cannot install an APK on a webOS device as it is a different operating system to Google's Android.
