Hello,

I have LG webOS TV OLED55C6P software version 04.30.15

After working perfectly for the previous eight months,

As of this past Monday,

Twitch streams will no longer load on the webOS browser.

(no problem streaming them on any other device in my home)

I have tried resetting the TV to original settings and rebooting modem/router to no avail.

Please help.

This is how I got it to work.

Find the PLEX app on the TV and install it.

This requires signing up for a PLEX account via a PC or other device once it is installed.

You will download a PLEX media server to this PC or other device.

The app on the TV will connect to the PLEX media server on the other device.

Once the PLEX media server is downloaded to the PC or other device-

select channels and find the twitch channel and add it to your PLEX media server.

Goto PLEX on the TV and click on the Twitch channel and voila twitch tv is back.

Unfortunately the Twitch channel within the Plex app has few options when it comes to specifying what I want to watch on Twitch. Do you know of any way to select a specific streamer this way? Otherwise, the only options it has is browsing by game or featured stream. Even if I did find the streamer I wanted to watch this way, there's no way to favorite or bookmark them. Am I missing something?

Nope, it's a terrible interface.

Smashcast is not working anymore either.

I was hoping it would be fixed by now in the WebOS browser to no avail.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the ads that load initially on the streaming services but twitch doesn't seem to care and neither does LG and it stinks.

Hi everyone, I have a recent problem with my lg smart tv web browser. TV's model is 50UH635V and I've noticed that the browser can't open certain websites showing the message "the browser is no longer supported". Is there any solution to this? Can I install a 3rd party browser to my TV, like mozilla, chrome, something like that?

      Hello,
I regently got the LG 43UF6409 and have been pretty happy with it so far.
When I tried to open netflix or the LG conten store, it's starting to load the user agreements- those could not be loaded due to a server error(loose translation from german). If I retry to load those, it does not load either.
I've reset the TV to factory reset and it gives me the same error. It's connected to the wifi, shows me that it is connected to the internet but still won't load the user agreements.
Also tried to look for software updates (it's 3.20.40)- if I try to look for updates, it could not find any.

My LG 49UB850V LED TV  browser is too old. The most of the pages not work any more. How to easy update just one simple browser app? For example, often browser show error during open new page. It show certificate expire problem and page not load at all.
This mean LG sell product without update at least browser certificate and now we are stuck and can not even load one page from WWW.

Shame on you LG. I will not buy any more from you.  How dificolt is to release new update to update OS certificates? Microsoft Windows did this, android did also for old phones, etc... Really, can not undestend this asian people from Korea.

It seems that the latest version of the WebOS browser on LG Smart TV's lacks the support for Javascript modules (ES6).
Can this be implemented / activated?
