Magic remote refuses to wake up

I have similar problem, my previous LG the remote woke up instantly, sometimes even with slightest bump. 

But with C9, i have to shake it or press a button to wake it up, this is an annoying feature. I want the cursor to come to the screen without shaking for 5-10 seconds. 

Any solution for this?

The cursor should appear if you rotate the wheel. Though depending on what you're doing that may also have the effect of changing the channel or something else.

Also remember the magic remote eats batteries at an incredible rate so problems are often due to the batteries getting low.

I tried repairing... and it works for a while. Subsequently I found that I have another nagging problem which was the wired connection disconnected and reconnected frequent popup. After I solved that, this problem seems to have gone away.

      Hello, Not sure if you can help, the user manual certainly CAN'T help!   When I first setup the monitor, It asked what the default mode will be, I selected PC, and default input HDMI1 I have it connected to a MAC Mini M4 with HDMI cable, every time the Mac Mini goes into sleep mode or I leave for a while, the Monitor Switches off,  cannot be woken up by the mac mini by hitting the keyboard or mouse as per normal monitor. I have to power ON the monitor with the remote and manually select HDMI1 to go back to using the Mac Mini I can't find the settings section to check the Default Power on or wake up Mode settings are, the manual does not provide this information. Very annoying!

      I haven't searched this forum, but there has to be others who find that tv remote pointer to be extremely annoying. I'm actually surprised that we still can't turn that feature off. Having the cursor/pointer feature isn't even close to the importance of being able to shut off. I mean, how hard is to put one checkbox in the ui to toggle the feature on or off? It seems like a no-brainer, big bang for the buck change that many users would appreciate

      So I'm thinking about buying an oled65g46ls, however the included 'magic' remote would be useless to me, due to health issues (tremors).  So my question is, do any other LG remotes work with the G4?.

      My magic remote and my Roku remote stopped working for turning off power so I performed a factory reset after troubleshooting to get the remote working.  I am now stuck at the 1st screen of the Factory Reset which says "Press the OK Button(wheel) on your remote."  Well... this really stinks because the remote doesn't work!!!  I have tried a USB mouse, a new magic remote, other LG Remotes with no luck.  I have also tried using the button on the bottom of the tv.  And, I contacted support which was just an exercise in redoing everything I had already tried... No Luck!!
      This is a Nano Cell 55NANO81ANA which is basically just a big brick now since I cannot even use any of the inputs.  Does anyone have a trick for getting past this initial screen???
