UI-113 error when trying to run Netflix app

Question

Posted

Three weeks now I can't view Netflix (UK). I have asked my broadband supplier  Virgin to reset DNS(they say they have done it but how does one check that), I've reinstalled the app a few times now, reset the hub, factory reset the TV, which is directly connected to the hub.  No change after all that.  Everything else works well.

What can I do now?

Well... figured out a workaround of sorts. If I use my mobile phone network connection as a hotspot to initiate the connection and start the movie I can then re-connect my normal broadband connection then  switch off the hotspot. The broadband connection to Netflix then continues to work.

Hi VLC,

Here is a link to Netflix's ideas for fixing the error:

There are many ways to find out the DNS addresses your ISP is using either by running commands in your command prompt (Windows), terminal (nix systems) or by looking in your modem/router settings.

If your Virgin router/modem allows you may be able to set your own choice of DNS servers which may alleviate the problem.

Here is a link to some information on alternative DNS servers you could use:

Thank but I've tried all of that at least three times already and none of it works. I set the DNA servers to 8.8.8.8 ,  8.8.4.4 and a few others but so far only the above procedure of connecting first via a mobile phone hotspot works.

Definitely a weird one, can you find out the DNS servers used by your mobile provider and plumb them in to your router/modem?

😐 did that (with huge confidence it would work)  but it didn't work. Will try it again though.

One thing I wonder is should I be making these changes on the hub or on the TV? I changed mostly the TV only. But maybe I should focus on the hub instead? And leave the TV on Auto?

Leave the TV on auto, change the settings on the hub.  Might be best to do a full reset on the TV as well.

I've bought OLED55CX3LA and have screenshare errors ever since.
I'm using Dell machine with Windows 10 onboard.
Almost every time I try to connect using "connect with remote screen" windows option, I get the pop up that
      only with cancel button.

Sometimes there is approval button but mostly I have only "cancel" option.
Have this error on OLED55CX3LA and one older model. Same behavior.

Mobile screen sharing working perfectly fine.

      How to fix it?
I've cleared the connection history but without any success.
Not sure if I should put it on warranty or if there is some simple fix?

      Hey guys !!!
I have a UHD UJ634v  LG webos Tv  that lately an error message pops on the screen staying : Tv signal has been lost due to the satellite LNB short.Check LNB connection"
This is really getting on my nerves because I can't get any signal even after resetting the TV or even updating to the last  software version.
I check my cable line and fixed every possible problem. The error message keeps showing up even after disconnecting cable line from the back of TV just as if a short circuit or something has happened inside the Tv.
Do you think that'd be software or hardware failure or something else??? How to fix it?
Please help me out with this cuz all my lovely satellite TV channels are gone 😐
Here is the actual error message on the right top o the screen
      Thanks in advance !!!

Trying to programme my magic remote to control an Amlogic OTT, however keep getting a ‘temporary issue occurred’ when I try. I’ve been trying for over a week now, so this temporary issue isn’t so temporary!

      Hello,
I regently got the LG 43UF6409 and have been pretty happy with it so far.
When I tried to open netflix or the LG conten store, it's starting to load the user agreements- those could not be loaded due to a server error(loose translation from german). If I retry to load those, it does not load either.
I've reset the TV to factory reset and it gives me the same error. It's connected to the wifi, shows me that it is connected to the internet but still won't load the user agreements.
Also tried to look for software updates (it's 3.20.40)- if I try to look for updates, it could not find any.
