TV does not connect to internet and after seconds it shuts down

Question

Posted

I have a Lg webos tv uf6450. Yesterday I was watching Netflix and all of a sudden the app displayed me the advise that there was no internet. So i go to settings to connect it again to the internet; I wasn't surprised since the tv has done it a couple of times. But this time it didn't want to connect. I tried everything: I disconnected the modem (even if the internet was working perfectly on my cellphone or any other device), I rewrote the password, I restart all the settings from the tv, I disconnected the Tv for a couple of hours, my brother even changed the password from the internet. And that is not the only problem. Sometimes, while I was trying to connect, the tv just freezed and then it shut itself down and even when I was trying to turn it back on, it didn't want to. Occasionally, the tv would not respond to the commands of the remote control. As I said before, I've tried everything, but if any of you know how to solve this problem I would be infinitely grateful. Please, help me!

I would update the firmware for your TV.   In order to do that though you need an internet connection.   Wireless isn't working so you need to use the ethernet port on your TV.  2 ways to do that.

1.  Move theTV closer to the wifi router and plug into one of those ports.

2.  If it's not practical to move the TV, I'd get a wifi range extender (something like this one:

) with an ethernet port and plug the TV into that to get a wired connection.

Hopefully, the wired connection works.   Update the firmware.   Maybe that fixes your wireless issues.   If it doesn't but ends up working with the wired connection, then continue with the range extender.

Hello, after the last update of WebOS (6.5.0.-24) there is different behavior of returning back to previous input on my TV. When I was watching a Live TV and opened an app like Youtube, after closing it (holding the return button) it used to return to Live TV. The same with HDMI input, when I was playing on Playstation and the opened an app, after closing it it returned back to PS. Now after the update, it always go to the Home Screen when the app is closed. I only found in setting to return to last input when turning the TV on instead of Home Screen, but didn't find the same for the behavior after closing an app. Is there a way to fix it?
      Thanks

I have recently bought a 48 inch lg oled.  For some reason I am getting super slow internet speeds no faster than 10 megabits at the tv even though I have Fiber internet.  I have it directly connected with cat 5 Ethernet cable to my Internet providers gateway.  I tested  the same cable and port with other devices and I am getting near 1 gig of speed.  What gives

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

Our TV just did an update and now certain buttons on the remote aren't working, and the TV won't stay on if it even comes on at all you get a dark blue screen and that is it.. such a great update. Now what do we do? The remote batteries have been changed and it still isn't working correctly. We unplugged the TV and then replaced it in.. ugh..
