Hello there,
I'd like to be able to play movie files on my USB stick, on my LG smart TV.
I'm struggling to sort myself and could do with some help.
I've had this smart TV for a few weeks. I've seen on the net that formatting a USB stick using the TV is how I will get it to work? I have an Apple imac and no windows pc. I suspect that is the problem. Not possible to format stick using apple Mac I guess?
Though I am getting a windows laptop end of September.
I can't explore stick on TV. But it does warm me when I pull it out. Yet nowhere on screen or remote can I find an eject USB stick facility?
All help appreciated,
Steven

got myself 2 new LG smart WebOS TV's one 4K and one just a smart 3D
on the 4K one the LG store is completely available, as it has a higher software version
the regular one just says "COMING SOON" (not so smart tv)
anyhow, i called LG as when i tried to update the firmware on the non 4k one (03.00.68) it tells me there is no update found (they told me there is an available update but there is an issue with their system stopping updates)
yet when i go to LG's homepage (
link hidden, please login to view) there clearly is one which would take me to 03.00.85 ....
SOOOOO, i have downloaded the files, and put them on a USB drive, plugged them into the TV, but cant find how to manually install???
any help would be appreciated!

Question
Bernd Böhm
Heya
I am looking for a way to make my SanDisk 128GB USB3 stick work for "live playback" aka time machine. I have formatted the stick with the HP USB Tool (quick format in Fat32) but the TV refuses to use it for TimeShift recording. Regular recordings do work however.
Is there any other way to format the stick, or is the stick too big?
