There is an HBO app, it is region and market (and possibly model & software) dependant meaning not everyone is going to get access to it.

Please search the forum for the many, many, many other posts on the matter.

Heh - I had HBO Now added to my Google Play account - LG app can't play it. 

So I moved it to my Hulu account .. LG app can't play it.  

I searched for HBO content on the LG Amazon app and it shows up so guess what... yup.

I wish I had known I couldn't get HBO Now BEFORE I spent $800 on my new LG TV.  I didn't think that one of the most popular apps out there wouldn't  be available. I'm sure there's a reason but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. At least I can use my old Roku stick
