I'd like a fast accessible shortcut to turn off the screen, eg. when pressing settings, a button on the screen.

Or even better, the possibility to configure the speaker off button on the remote to turn off the screen instead.

It should work independently of the energy saving feature, so that energy saving is not set to off when the screen is turned on again.

The existing procedure to turn off screen is to complex

press settings, press all settings, press energy saving, press off.....

and when the screen is turned on again, the energy saving is set to off, and not to the previous value (eg. auto).

Some things I listen to on YouTube have a static screen, and I don't want any burn in. Sometimes I leave the music playing for hours. Yes, YouTube has channels that can play for hours with one "video."

If you use the voice function on the remote and say "screen off" it will also turn off the screen, this seems to be the most efficient way of doing it I've found so far.

There needs to be a shortcut button on the remote!

How do you do that. My tv (55b7) just search for "screen off" on youtube and the web...

Thanks

I am using the C9 but I don't see why it shouldn't work on the B7.. originally I held the voice command button and said "turn off the screen",  which worked, and then I realized I could also just tell it "screen off", try some variations if you haven't already

I'd like to have a one button solution to that. Make the Quick Access buttons available for that. Now I'm listening to music channels and whenever i don't like a song and change the channel screen pops back on and It takes a few seconds to talk to the assistant and wait for it to acknowledge the command. Very inefficient.

It turns my channel off at random times exactly 11 minutes after the hour. I checked and double checked the settings looking for timers, etc. any fixes that I’m missing?  It’s when I’m streaming on Sling.

All of a sudden, the row of inputs showed up at the bottom of the home screen on my C1. I’ve tried every setting but can’t seem to get rid of them. I used to just call them up as needed (input button on remote) but now they’re there permanently. Any ideas?

      Hi,
Bought a new C4 OLED but i get black screens randomly when using internal streaming apps or just going back to the home menu. It seems as if WEBOS is crashing and i can only cut power and reboot when this happens...
Is it a software or panel issue

      Hey everyone,
I have had LG TV for just two years. Last weekend, when I turned it on, it showed a blank white screen but was still illuminated, with sound working. No LG logo or image appeared. I unplugged the TV and held the power button for 30 seconds while it was unplugged, and the screen issue fixed the issue for a week[url=https://whitescreen.vip/
      ].[/url]
However, the same white screen problem has now returned, and the power reset trick no longer works.
Should I contact a local TV repair technician or reach out to LG customer support first?  Any advice?

I haven't searched this forum, but there has to be others who find that tv remote pointer to be extremely annoying. I'm actually surprised that we still can't turn that feature off. Having the cursor/pointer feature isn't even close to the importance of being able to shut off. I mean, how hard is to put one checkbox in the ui to toggle the feature on or off? It seems like a no-brainer, big bang for the buck change that many users would appreciate
