How do i disable wifi?

There is no option any where in the web OS that is able to diable the wifi. Although I do see in the manual that there is the option while looking at available wifi hotspots you can turn in off. But in my actual TV it doesn't appear.

Some LG models typically at the higher end, you can disable wifi. There is a switch that appears on top of wifi. Most LG tvs don't have the switch.. To disable wifi, you have to connect an ethernet cable at the back.

Thank You for your response.  I have a LG 86 SJ957T. I have my ethernet cable currently connected to the back, even so the wifi is enabled. I was hoping there is a way to enter a technicians menu of some sort.

It shouldn't be a problem if both show connected as ethernet is the default networking connection however you can try a possible workaround to the no wifi on/off switch.

1. ensure you have an ethernet connection

2. enter the edit function to your wifi connection.

3. clear all the boxes in wifi connection and exit out. If there is a auto connect checkbox make sure it is unchecked.

If all goes well you should only have an ethernet connection remaining.

      I recently bought an LG UK6500PLA TV (my first LG), but I have a difficult time streaming content (Wifi connected), e.g. Netflix series is streaming in low resolution.  The router is only 10 feet away from TV (but ethernet is not an option) and uses a 5GH frequency range.
      I have tried making a speed test at fast.com, for both the TV (through the Webbrowser) and for my laptop and iPhone. The speed test for TV showed 2.5 Mbps and my laptop and iPhone showed 110 Mbps. Can there really be such a big difference? I am starting to wonder if this might be a warranty issue?
      Do any of you guys have experience with bad Wifi reception on your LG TV or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

      so i have router and hotspot from mobile phone, 
      If i want to change wifi connection, my tv keep asking the password, eventho it has been connected before.
      Please help how to solve this problem?

      Greetings.
      A huge problem is connecting an external drive/flash drive to a TV with webos with a large number of files.
      It starts scanning all folders, which can take up to 20 minutes. Which is unacceptably long.
      On the netcast platform, everything was instant. Maybe it creates previews...maybe something else...
      How to disable disk scanning by the webos platform?

      It is unprofessional on part of LG TV that they do not resolve the basic issue of adding app gCmob in their app store.
      My 50UT80506LA LG WebOs TV does not support my office security camera system via wifi to TV.  We need (gCmob app) in list of app.
      I can't connect my office camera via Wi-Fi to LG-TV. No body in LG TV technical team is proactive in resolving the issue of customer. They are more happy to befool the customers, rather than looking for technical solution through wider thinking.
      Please talk to you top management and make a visit to our office to understand the customers plight..
      Please respond to customers needs.
