HBO GO App

Everything I read on line says that the HBO GO app is available on LG Smart TV's, yet I am unable to find it anywhere.  Has anyone else run into the same issue?

I have the exact same issue.  Just bought the 2018 OLED65C8, and can't find a HBO app. Tried all sorts of searches on the TV and on the LG site, but no success.

The availability of the HBO Go app depends on your geographical location and (possibly) TV model.

George - I'm in the Los Angeles area and have HBO viewing apps that work fine on my phone.  My TV is a higher end model and it's a new model. Doesn't make sense to me that the app isn't available, especially since I have a Showtime app that works fine on the TV.

Hi Rubindude,

When it comes to having the app on your phone it has to be seen that it is running a completely different operating system, but yes it does not seem to make sense that you cannot get the app in the US.  Possibly if it is a brand new model the app has not been approved/tested on that particular OS version release.
