My LG web browser stopped playing videos from some websites,  but not all. Finally discovered that "Adaptive Streaming using Javascript" was enabled. I disabled this setting and the problem was resolved. To change the setting,  go to the web browser's "settings" menu.

Hello, I have the same problem as of 10/29/23, before I could play videos in the browser, but after an update I could no longer, my TV model is 55UP7750PSB and the current software I have is "03.36.45" . I tried to search for previous versions of the software but didn't find any, is there a solution for this problem?

I have same firmware, but if you read the faq in the web page, they say will only play on certain browsers, firefox, internet explorer etc. or could be in flash player format which webos wont play.

The videos on this site used to play just fine before the update

Hi,

Well I tried signing up to the site to see if I could replicate the issue you are having, but the sign up page just 404s after pressing the sign up button.

There's no need for a sign-up to play videos. It's just an option.

I’ve the same issue here. It used to work and then suddenly stopped, we can not air play, we can not cast easily, no variety for apps.

Honestly, I’ll never recommend LG smart tv to anyone

@RSS Thanks for that interesting feedback. Are you able to post your TV model, the WebOS version and the Browser version please? This may help others with similar issues.

Thanks!

Adaptive streaming solution above does not fix issue here, nor is it fixed by allowing the video file to buffer.  Called LG Support today about issue but received no acknowledgement of issue or definitive solution.  I would try factory reset but entails installing all my apps and signing into them again. For now, I am using the Silk browser on my Firestick to get around issue but this extremely frustrating that it was working before html5 came along, which I suspect contributed to this problem.

Hi everyone, I have a recent problem with my lg smart tv web browser. TV's model is 50UH635V and I've noticed that the browser can't open certain websites showing the message "the browser is no longer supported". Is there any solution to this? Can I install a 3rd party browser to my TV, like mozilla, chrome, something like that?

I am using the lg tv from 2 years and I found an amazing experience till now.
But I like request about Play box TV app. Please add this app in store section so that I could download it on my tv.
It would be helpful if you respond to my email. This app is very demanding now a days as it comes with the excitel broadband service.

On our LG G1 OLED, when watching a program on Binge, the Binge app restarts itself every 20 minutes or so with a message about needing to restart to free up memory. Power-cycling the TV doesn't fix the problem, nor does running the "Memory Optimiser" function from system settings. None of the other streaming service apps we have on the TV have this problem - Prime Video, Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Britbox, ABC iView, SBS On Demand, Youtube. Those are the only other apps installed on the TV. I've checked the LG WebOS version and checked for app updates, and everything is latest version.
If I run the Binge Android app on my Chromecast with Google TV, it works without any problems when streaming the same programs.

In fact, Spotify doesn't offer its service to LG webOS Smartwatch now. If you want to listen to Spotify songs on LG webOS Smartwatch, you'd need a
link hidden, please login to view. With Tunelf Spotibeat Music Converter, you can and then transfer them to LG webOS Smartwatch for playing without limits.

Hello,  I am looking for an app through which I can play videos on USB because inbuilt media players do not support all formats. And in some videos I'm facing frame drops or lagging.
